MY DAD MIGHT DIE DUE TO THE 'NO BLOOD' DOCTRINE
by Mary ini don't have much time to post as i'm headed back to the hospital, but my father collapsed this morning and had to be rushed to the hospital.
in a nutshell: he needs a blood transfusion as his hemoglobin is dropping (bleeding internally), but thanks to this fucking cult, that's not an option...........he'll accept the fractions but those bastards from the blood liaison committee have already shown up to ensure he doesn't cave............... for those of you who still believe, i'm asking you to say a prayer for my dad........and if anyone from crooklyn is reading this: you better hope my father doesn't die due to your fucked up rules, .

better offf dead?

i would appreciate some observations on the latest episode between me and my jw mother, like whether this is something i should ignore or try to resolve.. i was dfd at thirteen, five years ago, for being a gay atheist.
i didnt become homeless only because my mother was/is ill with ms, we maintained a just workable relationship so that i could stay and help her look after herself.. the last three years relations became more tense as i began to piece together what had happened since she joined the org when i was about 3. she demanded yesterday to know why, and i let her have it.. i told her how fucking petrified of life i was as a kid, hearing about armageddon and the world.

great plan god.. ot stuff always weirded me out more than nt stuff, until i found out we have a totally fraudulant nt version, compete with the name jehovah spuriously inserted 237 times, along with many other spurious verses.

Hello everyone, first post.
by Frjprice inhello, i just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here - as i will be posting here.. i grew up a jw and pioneered, was a ministerial servant, ect, i was in the organization for 17 years.
i left and naturally my family did as they were told and cut off all communication with me.
this left a horrible taste in my mouth for not just jw's, but any religion for that matter.

One young man I know got sent to Bethel to make a man out of him because his family considered him too effeminate. But he seems okay with himself and is learning hair dressing at evening classes. But I'm guessing that he has put up with a lot of rejection and hurt to arrive at that 'resigned to the way I am' outlook.
Another young man - very good looking, tall and willowy - used to jog with us in a group. We used to jog through a gay cruising area and we'd all joking form a wall around him protectively - he'd just laugh. He also seems to have reached some sort of hard won compromise with himself.
There are lots more avoiding close intimate relationships, waiting for the new system who could be gay or they may be straight. Poor things.

my life has changed completed in such a short amount of time, and some of the things that have happened recently have finally just "hit" me as of late.
i definitely need to take more time to just stop and think, actually accept the changes, and adjust.
