i joined this site about a week ago and have enjoyed reading all the posts and chatter.
i was raised in the jws, baptized at 17 (didn't know any better) but once i got married and had a baby, i just didn't have enough time to go to all the meetings during the week.
we got the "shepherding calls" and pretty much were looked down on for not going to all the meetings.
Hi Tere - welcome to JWD

i just thought i would give a little update on my fade.. for starters, i found a new job and will be starting soon.. secondly, i found the job far enough away that a move to a new apartment is necessary.. thus i have achieved two of the major parts of my fade at once.. i will not be working for a brother, nor renting from one.. .
however, another part of my fade is my wanting to get out zelda, the girl i have loved for quite some time.. recently she tried to commit suicide again.. i have gone to see her every day since she went into the hospital.. this is more than i can say of the brother she is courting.. .
her mother is df'd, we shall call her kairi.
Kairi is someone I trust not to tell the elders.
She definitely wont tell them about our conversation. As she told me not to tell also.
But how stupid am I to tell her anything about it after she told me that she was striving to be reinstated?!?
Kairi did say that if I leave, she will make sure that Zelda never goes with me.
I don't think you are stupid at all for telling Kairi your story - you went with your instincts and you wanted to help her too. I have confided my thoughts about the WTS with a few loyal dubs I trust and they haven't turned me and I feel I can trust them not to.

She is just an amazing person in all aspects of her personality. Except for the self destructive part.
she sounds too nice and too amazing to me with perhaps not enough of the not so nice qualities that enable us all to function.
congrats openmind - you've done good
i mean, there is so much bullshit talk on this site, and every time there comes up an opportunity to take some action, you all just wus out.
what will it take for you all to get a spine and do something?
write a letter or email to this paper and let them know how you feel about their article.
thanks betterdaze - would someone please make that link active.

Does anyone know if they normally print letters of protest online?
