Caliber!
i made a big effort to get to the watchtower study today.
i have not been to the meetings much for months, but i figured this was a pretty historic "study" and i wanted to see reactions and how it would go down locally.
well a few things struck me as a bit odd in the study itself, and in the audience response as well.
What was the 1995 change but another stop gap measure in a series of measures to buy time? If you learn to speak
in riddles such as "none of woman born shall harm you " (Macbeth) he is killed off by Macduff Cesarean birth. If you are
crafty and smooth you learn how to leave yourself escape routes yet still pacify and comfort your intended audience.
Therefore there can be countless prophecy interpretation but only one eventual fate as Macbeth.
Macbeth goes to the Witches again and receives three more prophecies. Urged on by Macbeth, the witches conjure spirits which tell him that he will not "vanquish'd be until Great Birnam wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him" and that "none of woman born shall harm Macbeth," but also to "fear Macduff".
So you see there are many prophecies but always only one fate!

since i was 16 years old, the one belief that always kept me going because it set a limit on how long.
the present system would last before god started armageddon and then usher in of a 1,000 years of .
peace was the "generation teaching".
Your discussion about extended time yet nearness, taking years yet coming quickly, reminds
me of an incident my dad use to joke about. One of our country neighbors who is now in his 80's
use to like to visit a kindly old granny type neighbor who lived just a quarter of a mile down the road. As a
little boy he wanted to visit her one day because of her kindness and of course cookies and drinks!
He was visiting away for a time when he said to this kindly grannyIs it a little while yet? What do you mean chuckles
the kindly granny? "Well mom said I could come over but could only stay a little while".
This was joked about for years, this now elderly gentleman used to get red faced every time people
brought it up. But does it not clearly illustrate the absurdity of words like soon, near, a little while, their meaning
is basically meaningless!
By the way I always enjoy your postings, down to earth and humorous but always make their points.

i have just a momment...replacing alternator on our jeep..... i saw one of the elders that recomended i da myself in '02 in parking lot....fairly long conversation....it ended like this:.
i commented that if he "really had the truth" he would just stop by, we would enter into some discussions and he would prove me wrong.
however, i told him, in my heart i know in your heart that you kinow i would prove the wt in error and you fear me because of it.
What is it with elders recommending to D.A. ones self ? Is it that everyone must pigeon hole, no loose ends, black &
white thinking ?

this poem is over 100 years old and yet is as fresh as todays newspaper in.
its vital message for us to contemplate.
it contains situational guidelines.
The mark of genius is to deal with opposites in the "real world" of illusions------ to balance life !

This poem is over 100 years old and yet is as fresh as todays newspaper in
its vital message for us to contemplate. It contains situational guidelines
for the game of life. It is filled with idealism but what matters is in the
striving to reach these goals, thus the title "IF" because in our imperfect
state striving is the best we can do.
All the books about self confidence, success, life balancing, personality
development are encapsulated within the thoughts this poem. It is a vision
of worthy life; how to play by the rules of human nature for success.

If If you can keep your head when all about you If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can make one heap of all your winnings If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Rudyard Kipling I believe a whole book could be written based on these condensed words of wisdom. I welcome your thoughts and expressions regarding this poem. |

has been killed of!.
it will mean that my role is forever removed from where it was!.
the new me is absent the 'family' it was so ready to support and stand up and fight for!.
Why feed our pain, when we can feed our hope ?
Do we wish to have a problem or solve the problem?
Identify your hope and seek it !
