  yes my father has passed on sunday.... all my family brothers, sister, in-laws are jws .

  it is occasions like this that.

  Thanks to all who have posted above me here who have given me a word of encouragement.

  We all need that human understanding , touch and sense of belonging. I guess I am a more emotional

  right now with the death of my father but may I please confess right now that while I find a measure

  of companionship and understanding on JWS... this disconnect that I feel with my family whom I do deeply in my

  heart love anyway I also feel here because I still believe in an almighty God but realize that the vast majority do not !

  I'm not trying to create some sort of guilt trip ...just telling you my true heartfelt feelings.... It seems that at this moment

  I have a need to share this thought ... sorry !!!

  with a sense of inward loneliness

  was a sense of peace and bonding ( inborn family bond) with my mother brothers and sisters which the WT....

  ruling could take away from me should I speak out too boldly.. I can not lose this connection least while my

  mother is alive...true and natural family love runs very deep !

  We gathered at mom s house it was still a wonderful connection with my family and past love and closeness

  The love is still there it's just buried under the religious hold that is present !

  moved with mixed feelings of love , pain and hurt

  Where do you start to find the answers to God?

  i thought i have relatively had everything figured out, like life, death, god does he exist or does he not.

  is the bible make believe?.

  can we really be sure that it is inspired, after all we were not around to see the process being done.

  Non one can prove if God exist or not through the logic.
  But it is not intellectually honest to say that "belief in God has inflicted grievous harm to society". Maybe this ha been caused by the "God" created by our own mind and used for our dirty purposes (ie. control other people).
  But the values of Christian religion and other religions have improved societies during the course of the story.
  When someone is prejudiced one is able only to see only the part of the truth he want to see. (Partial quote from net)

  But these thought are so true..... are they not ? We may only see the other guy as pushing HIS

  Do you like bubbly personalities?

  when people are super bubbly/friendly/cheery, or constantly smiling ear-to-ear when the situation doesn't call for it, i immediately suspect they are either phonies, trying to sell me something, or suffering from bipolar mania.

  that is not really very fair of me, but that's what springs to mind.. i hate nervous giggling too.

  it completely grates on my nerves.

  When working in a restaurant I used to get in trouble for not showing my teeth in the dining room. I walked around with my Mona Lisa smile, which is quite natural for me, and that wasn't enough. I had to fake an Osmond smile in order to keep my job. I wonder if the men were expected to do the same.

  I feel just like you I'm not into showing a toothy smile very often.. sincerity must be natural ... normal functioning

  people see no need or desire for constant smiling.

  so, the local jw troops have stepped up my study because i have had a difficult time swallowing the "truth", and have sent a ms to speed things along.

  he mentioned satan tempting eve, and i said i had never read that.

  sure, so there is a serpent tempting eve in genesis 3, but no satan.

  This for me confirms Jesus knew satan/devil was the one who was the man slayer from the beginning and john's words in revelation also confirm this viewpoint. I think there can be no other logical reasoning to have on this.

  So if you don't think Satan is the original serpent how do you explain it?

  How Far Back Does Your Memory Go?

  mine goes back to may of 1955.. i was 17 months old.. my mother went into labor with the last of her 13 children, and i remember pitching a fit because the midwife wouldn't let me into her room.. how about you?.
