Songs that are atmospheric
by FlyingHighNow inthis is a song thread that will take a little thought.
i'd like for you to share songs that sound atmospheric and conjure up feelings of night air or a smokey room, the energy of the ocean's roar or capture the joy of a party or celebration.
the songs can be transportive and take you other places by their sound and the visuals they evoke from the stories they tell.. my first one is from tim mcgraw.

Is the word vindictive always negative or undesirable
by caliber inhow would you answer to the following statement i found ?.
but all true justice is vindictive as to virtue.... it is not exemplary, or even corrective, but essentially retributive; it is the absolute art of measured recompense, giving honour where honour is due, and shame where shame is due, and joy where joy is due, and pain where pain is due..

"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its lovliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing"~~~~John Keats ( epic poem, Endymion, 1818)
******************************************
A thing of beauty is a joy forever ".........
thus is love in it's heart beating treasure..beating strong and true in endless pleasure
only in it's passing to experience great pain
like many swords piercing in hurtful disdain
Love hurts only but in it's wake , it's aftermath , it's woe
Love hurts not by power but by it's diminished fainting glow

Caliber, anger is an emotion, too. And when someone has hurt you profoundly, you may continue to love the person, but it doesn't mean the love stays the same. It evolves and changes
. @ FHN Let me then set to verse my feelings you do aptly describe....For you were my drug of safe addiction....
. ..creating urgings for your embracing love & beauty
Warm tears of joy ran down my cheeks ...
.....to run away in time with musing of love forever !
yet unaware of some sort of lopsided love
.....nor independence to challenge intimacy's warmth
I didn't plan to fall in love but.... I did...
You didn't plan to hurt me.... but you did !! -

To "strike when the iron is hot "is usually good in general in problem solving but when there is personal hurt not so much
Please (only if you must )just take a break... everything cools and commons down with a little space and time .
We humans are all different to some degree but mostly we all want understanding and love... we crave acceptance deep down.
I have a very special friend I chat with often.. but even though we both care... misunderstanding happens... hurt feelings
can make a person strike out in self-protection. At this point I try to remember love begets love.... hurt begets hurt
One of the most common causes of people fighting ceaselessly is misunderstandings. Misunderstandings tend to create so many problems between couples, friends and families. It is these very misunderstandings that can irreparably damage a relation.
I have learned that I can be hurt , but to avoid that part that would hurt my conscience forever more
Regardless of the issues or causes I pray peace, goodwill & happiness and for some measure of understanding for all those who have hurt each other !

Lost In Translation
When something is translated into another language, and sometimes translated back into the original language, and because of differences of the languages some of the original meaning is lost
However even worse than that is wording and structure ... or even one word can appear to change the entire spirit of the post.
Example to be taken in humor only !
My father told this joke where an Englishmen was trying to used the expression "you lucky dog " to amuse his lady friend
but instead said to a young lady friend ....' Well you fortunate bitch'... an insult not a joke
So the entire spirit of the comment can be lost or changed !!!
Or another of Dad's army jokes..... An Englishmen and girlfriend are on the dance floor... her pearl necklace falls down a low backed dress
..she say to him ...".grab them out quickly "!! HE says "I feel a perfect ass "( it embarrasses him he means ) She says... "Never mind that.. just get the damned necklace out !!

When you truly love someone their actions are unlikely to change your feelings toward them, because anger comes from the mind (attitudes, core beliefs ) ... but love comes from the heart (feelings, emotions ) . ..awareness makes you see the disconnect between these two driving forces and face reality ......
"Only in 'changed perception ' dwells hearts conceding surrender or more likely in it's 'hurtful abdication !"~~~ Caliber

Um ridiculous is as ridiculous does. How will we know if criticism falls flat?
by N.drew incriticism is fine, but doesn't it have to be specific to work?.
if criticism is not to help but to hurt, isn't that called trolling?.
i understand that the posters here are on opposite ends of life's spectrum.. so some posts will sound critical but they are not.

I wonder, is that mean or is it funny ?..... cynical humor... but is doesn't make for too many laughs to the end receiver

Try the PNP sandwich (positive negative positive): I don’t like this idea much, but I think it can be a good one (see what I did there?) for dealing with people sensitive or new to receiving criticism. The idea is simple: find a way to alternate your feedback. Find something positive, then find something negative, then find another positive thing. It’s an easy way to develop trust and help people become comfortable with hearing other people’s opinion

B etrayal of trust is cruelist blow of all...for it undermines a sacred love which was never meant to be broken but in ones death.... it's final dance & therefore never to suffer in it's weeping !.
