2006 paperback printing NWTs and it has already removed all the brackets including the scripture in question (paperback versions where their (i.e. Col 1:15-19) contains the word 'other' without brackets)

Col. 1:15-19 has added the word [other] in brackets

Col 1:15-19..."all other things.."

the use of bracketed word can be disturbing, just like their use of elipsis (...) in quotes

breakup guilt

i recently broke up with my girlfriend of four years.. she is 40 years old, with health problems, financial problems, little family/friend support, and facing an uncertain future.

i gave her some money.. the guilt i am experiencing right now is absolutely anguishing.

she had very, very high hopes about our relationship and loved me very deeply.

did I love her enough to make a lifelong commitment to the relationship? No.

how would I feel if I learned that she had found a new guy and was very happy with him? Ecstatically happy for her, and hugely relieved that my leaving her didnt crush her to the point of no return.

so why do I keep thinking that I made a big mistake leaving her?

Two factors keep couples together...... Love and /or entanglement

....if no romantic love remains then it is only entanglement

You are stuck on routine , oneness of working together for the common good of each other plus empathy

The struggle is to allow " of natural consequences to befall her" verses the compassion and empathy that your heart speaks to you to rescue her.

The other extreme away from co-dependence is the psychopath where empathy is totally absent ... (all things are for me and my advantage alone)

Empathy can be a higher principled form of love apart from romantic love

1)Sympathy – feeling sorry for another’s hurt

2)Empathy – walking in another’s shoes

3)Compassion – love in action

Your heart is struggling with step 3

What about those who are not in the new covenant, those who hope to live forever on earth, not in heaven? While not participants in the new covenant, these are beneficiaries of it. They receive forgiveness of their sins and are declared righteous as God’s friends .(Jas. 2:23; 1 John 2:1, 2)

The Great Crowd is now seen as eating with the sons but they are just "friends of God" therefore they are eating but not drinking with the "sons of the kingdom"

Is John Barr's funeral talk at odds with New Light?

john barr served in the gb and died in dec 2010 at the age of 97.. in his funeral talk and the accompanying eulogy tract that was printed, is the final sentence:.

"without a doubt, he slept for but a moment in death and has now received his heavenly reward and his father's approval - all he ever wanted!".

given that the new light about being approved and appointed over all things is now a future event linked to the gt trib, was it correct to teach these things about brother barr at his funeral service?.

The steady drop since 1994 is generation change and the INTERNET ....spike after 2001...could that be a 9/11 or after 2001 was likely the implementation of the 15 minute rule(still a publisher ) that held things steady from then on
