i have been on here for only the past 3 days or so....so i don't really know how it goes.. this is an 'apostate' site right?.
so today i've learned that there is just the ol' regular apostate and an 'active' apostate.. but are there actually active witnesses on this site as well??.
because i just saw a topic about someone asking for advice on how to do a talk?.

I was DF'd for a few years, was not keen on going back because of some things I personally knew what happened in the cong but STILL felt bad about speaking to a supposedly ex-elder "apostate". A couple of things stuck in my mind so I decided to look for myself. Found my way here and now I wish I did 20 years ago...
I can't believe the feeling the word "apostate" used to have in me and now I want to BE one now I have knowledge...

yesterday, thursday, july 26, 2007, a conversation with a street witnessor (isn't that what you would call someone involved in street witnessing?
) got joined by a walk-up elder turned into a great opportunity to witness to several bystanders (who even joined in the conversation).. i began by declining to accept the offer from the elderly woman who held up a "what does god require of us?
i said, "but, verne, you aren't going to the bible.

so......it has been 3 months since my mother passed away and not one, not one witness has called, stopped by, or even sent a card to me!
it hit me today.
i mean, i must have gotten like 50 sympathy cards in the mail from her worldly relatives and co-workers, as well as numerous phone calls, but not one witness has done anything!

hello ex-elders, onthe wayout, snakes, and wilyloman, just to refresh about a month ago i told you all that the appeal committee had overturned the disfellowshipping decision by the original jc as the appeal committee got a hold of me by phone and told me the society gave them direction in this.
i have since explained the situation to my witness mom and dad, 80 &82, they are good with it.
i am taking copies of the counsel you ex elders gave to me to be careful about what i say at this "alleged encouragement" meeting and promise you this, i'll watch my words carefully when they ask me questions.

mike just rang me to say that one of my old elders was chasing me up.. bit of background information my brother and his now wife both baptized fell pregnant before they got married, her mum also a jw paid for an abortion!!!!!
anyway my sister in law told me all about it.
i too told a few people i know not wanting to get them into trouble but i guess i didnt want people to think i was the only bad sheep in the family, anyway this was over 2 years ago.. someone that i told has just recently mentioned it to the elders after two years and now they are chasing me up to see if the rumour is true.. mike told him to mind his own business and dont expect for me to call them back.
I can't beleive the hide on these elders. Are they actually expecting a different answer than "go f#$%k yourselves" from someone they kicked out. That would be my response anyway...

Anyway, I gave her 2 print outs - one a summary of articles of JW's position on the UN from WT articles and the UN NGO letter. Next time he comes she is going to ask him.

a jw friend of mine was speaking about the moment that witnesses "realise that it's the truth".
they didn't say anymore... so i guess that they feel there is a pattern ??.
I agree with Effervescent - I was raised in it and (and I posted this a minute ago on another thread) I respected and believed my parents and never had the reason to question. Until I was DF'd...
the existence the the guitar is a problem...sure you can playa little..but what happens when someone who has never heard of metal, punk, hard rock or simple rocknroll from this old world start experimenting innocently some sunny day unaware that just under his own fingernails lay the power of evil musical notes-demonic music notes- that strung together would have caused one to be at the very least severely tongue lashed in this old world..but in the new world princes must ensure that all is kept pure and therfore anyone playing the guitar must never invent any song that even remotely sounds like anything from this old world.
perhaps all guitars should be destroyed due to their potential for playing loud screeching metal mayhem.
why take chances.. no competetive sports....oh sure a friendly game of rock counting when ur not enjoying a perfect tomato or singing at the sky in worship.

i have read many post on here about abuse that goes on in the kingdom hall.
one abuse i use to see involved the denial of the bathroom to children during meetings.. .
in the kingdom hall i attended like most expected children to sit still for two hours during the meetings.
Toilet cubicle was the best place to sit when you have a hangover providing no parents came in to belt the living shit out of their kids for mucking up during the meetings. Poor bastards.
