  i've been intending to post this, ever since reading "wall of love" .

  on the land where i was born
  was nourishment for the soul of a boy.
  streams of vastness and life to discover,
  creepers and swimmers and slowpool reflections.
  mystique of morels, flight of dragons,
  blackberry brambles, gnarl of roots.
  
  a land of poetry indecipherable,
  felt but not seen, unknown yet known.
  hooting of owl, scream of captured rabbit,
  milkweed mating-ground of dancing monarchs.
  bones of cow, beckoning ponds,
  skating on ice like the wind.
  
  how much these eyes did see there,
  what truths did this heart absorb?
  apple blossom fragrance, bleat of lamb,
  sorrow of dog and car on the road.
  love of mother, toil of father,
  laughter of brothers and sisters.
  
  i go no more
  to the land where i was born.

  Trumpet blasts = Rutherford's talks? Not exactly. Were they ever?

  this week jws are continuing on in the revelation book with the angel's trumpet blasts of rev.

  chapter 8. this has truly been a blessing as it's helped me catch up on lost sleep.

  as a brain-turned-off dub i always got the following impression with regard to the trumpet blasts:.

  what's the title of this latest revelation book?
  in 1963 they came out with "babylon the great has fallen, god's kingdom rules"
  methinks that if you can get scans from that book (surely some here still
  have it), that you will find wording in it that is more to your liking.
  "resulting" sounds a bit weak to me, also...a bit of watering down the
  language to take some of that fred franz pomposity out of it.
  
  i have few clear memories of the many scintillating hours i spent in my
  uncle's living room plodding thru the books of the sixties during the
  congo book study. but the application of the trumpet blasts to those
  talks at those conventions caused some major churning inside my head
  as a teenager....there's something special about that state of cognitive
  dissonance....word's forming in my mind "how can they apply that scripture
  that way?", while at the same time never consciously doubting that our
  "mother organization" was the source of accurate knowledge.
  
  i'm sure i never made a comment during any of those discussions. being
  the paragraph reader would have been hard enough.

  once i knew i was leaving the witnesses, i had a deep resonance to
  one rod stewart song. i don't like most of his music, but
  "i was only joking" would nearly bring me to tears. the last lines...
  
  quietly now while i turn a page
  act one is over without costume change
  the principal would like to leave the stage
  the crowd don't understand.

  let me begin by saying that i never expected to even talk about my situation let alone discuss it on the internet but i guess im just feeling so sad that i must hope that someone will understand and give me encouragement...so here it goes.. .

  but the more active i got, the more abusive my stepmother became.

  ironically, he sent my stepmother to the wedding.
