Knock Knock, they are all abuzz about it.
I know JWs that hang on his every word only to see how it fullfills bible prophecy. Emails are sent about everytime the guy says peace or security or anything remotely close. I can't tell you how many emails I've received saying this it...the end will come during Obama's time in office.

How could anyone sit through 3 days of this stuff? I'm 5 minutes into the audio file and I want to go jump off a bridge.

i am asking this as i think testimony from first hand could help people see what danger they leave their children in with jw baby sitters etc.. my friends let their 10 yr old daughter stay the weekend with her jw cousins.. when she came back she was having nightmares, bursting into tears, clingy (as her mother might be killed at armageddon before she got home from school).
and asking explicit sexual questions, (yes they had taken her to the kingdumb hell).

It depends on the JW. Children of our non-JW family used to stay over all the time. Their parents knew to bring dress-up clothes so that they could wear them to the meeting. My mom never tried to push the religion off on them. Never even tried to teach them God's name.
I was the same when non-JW child relatives would spend the weekend with me. I would skip service to take them to the zoo, etc and the folks in the cong would ask why didn't I just bring them in service with me. Anyway, it depends on the JW.
what do you make of this?
it seems to complex to be a hoax and one would need an optical perspective to make this kind of pattern.. even if that were possible, how could this be done in one evening under cover of dark?.

E.T.s...It's there way of tagging the planet. Besides, it couldn't be demons, they're too busy oppressing and leading astray the JWs.

a) eventually evolve into a mainstream religion.
I see them going more mainstream.
There were some that were kinder, nicer, funnier or smarter than others but I never had a favorite elder.
i have been lurking on here for some time and i finally decided to join the fray.
i am 25 years old and was raised in the society.
fortunately when i was 8, my father left the organization and this allowed me to see the wrold from both angles, the jw (mom) and not (dad).. at first, i was strongly on the side of the witnesses and i even allowed myself to be convinced that getting baptised at 11 was a good idea.

there was a social event and i was invited to attend.
the event was by a kindergarden school that my 3 year old child had a play.
after the songs and theatrical plays by the kids food was served.. .
Sorry that happened to you. Personally, I would stayed in the seat and forced them to stay or leave.
just a couple of set of ground rules i would like to set for this.
frequently, one of two options for those who want to leave jw's are 1) a purposeful, public, resignation (or disassociation as jw's call it) vs 2) what is commonly called in the ex jw internet world, "the fade".
i know that emotions run deep on this subject for good reason, because of what is at stake, and all that is perceived to be lost.
Has there been any toll on you, and especially, your individuality?
Initially yes, but now I couldn't care less about the JW religion or any other religion. I realized that it took time for the cult mentality to fade away after I left. Now I just aim to live my life as a decent, upstanding, moral citizen of this planet.
