multifarious: "But I hope what I learn doesn't change who I am and how I feel about this."
As with any group without a forced oversight, you will find all stripes here, as I myself have discovered. Some are filled with hate and bitterness towards the JW religion and this is their
right. Some here have suffered injustices, the like I hope I never experience. Yet, I HAVE had my share of heartache and problems, and, as discussed in another thread, alot of our
individual approaches are greatly influenced by our upbringing. It sounds like you are much like myself, in that most of your problems with the JW's stem from doctrinal issues and
hypocrisy. If this is true, I'm happy for you. You are a step ahead of many here. Read, filter out what you disagree with, and ignore the ones who have a problem with you.
But above all, don't let anything thrown at youm, here or elsewhere, change who you are. Hate and bitterness only consumes the one that holds it.
I wish you well.

ok mymom's grandfather had 3 sons wyman jr, richard, and david my grandfather.i just heard a story about wyman jr that grossed me out big time.wyman jr had a daughter carol who had a half brother denny.denny and carol grew up together.carol didn't know her father.when carol was about 18 or 19 her brother denny got married.they had lived together all there lives.carols mother was dead and she had no one else to live with.so carol went to california and met her father wyman jr for the first time.she moved in with him and his second wife.carol got pregnant by her father wyman jr.. now my father told me that carol also knocked up by her own half brother/son.. her excuse for getting knocked up by her own father was that she never knew him so she didn't have a father daughter relationship with him.. my mothers family was from west virgina..
Hmmmmm....I'm speechless.

here's the intro to my blog:.
if the scriptures in the bible are really true, then at some time we should be able to measure them against tangible events, which are actually occurring in our recent history.
Looks like OBVES has some serious competition here.

yeah, i know) .
I admire your courage, oompa. I don't know that I would have handled your situation as well as you have.
It seems that everyone who has posted their story here has had to endure and learn from their individual experience.
It helps to read of others' trials to know that you are not alone and I applaude all who have posted, thus far, in sharing your story.

Thanx for the editing work, Scully. Ever since working with Firefox, I just can't seem to make it work.
Maybe it's time to go back to Explorer 7, as much as I hate to.

P.S. I like the drop-down "Edit Reason" list. Pretty funny stuff.

Thanx for your post, daniel-p. No, I don't think it is selfish to "deny" her the dual-membership to the JW's.
IMHO, marriages (or relationships, for that matter) can survive a "so-called divided household". Granted, this particular religion makes it a bit tougher to maintain the
marriage in the healthy state it should be. But largely, this will be up to her.
Also, one thing that I DO appreciate from being a JW is the great respect for the institution of marriage it instilled in me, even if most JW's don't live up to
their own doctrine in this regard. Keep on working on it. It's a healthy thing to do, JW or no.
