most people that hate Bush have no idea why. It's just the 'cool' thing to do.
I've heard more than once: "Bush ruined social security, that's why I dislike him!!"
ummmm....
lmao sorry but i dislike the evil president.
who does he think he is coming over to oz and expecting us to close down a city, put on hundreds of police and spend millions of dollars for his protection.
thousands of lifes have been lost because of this freak.

Before moving to Oneonta, I lived not far from the farm (Pine Bush/Middletown).
I'd move back if the crime wasn't skyrocketing...
no-one else from Upstate NY?
Maybe it'd be cool to get an apostafest (or whatever you ppl call it) going...
i will no longer be posting here.
just wanted to tell you all i love you guys.
i will be checking p.m.'s for a few more days if anyone wants my contact info.
oh well
for having too much contact with her df'd son!.
she's a loyal, long time witness in her seventies, with a "non-believing" husband.
she harms nobody with her bevavior.
Flip This,
Both Min and I were elders with a lot of experience, and the quote from Mary backs up what we know - family members are not disfellowshipped for associating with close DFed family.
You may be talking in general and not about family members, which is true. But that is not the case in general, and if it is true that this elderly sister was, that would be very unusual, which is why I asked how changeling knows this for sure.
S4
s4,
I was threatened in a congregation not far from you (Ballston Spa, NY) - Although they laid off because they DF'd me on something else. Bill Eubanks, a perverted son-of-a insisted on it. My parents were threatened in Page, AZ. (Although in that case there was ONE Elder who stuck it out with them). My Grandmother was privately reprooved in Oneonta (NY), some 15-20 years ago.
It happens; it's a fact.
I ran into trouble with this in Warrensburg, NY as well and I wasn't even Baptised at the time!
" in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the kingdom hall.
" donations are to be given to the kingdom hall at the funeral talk for the five men who were killed in that plane crash.
why not say.."in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the families who suffered this loss?
My personal opinion:
This thread would be incredibly offending to the families (especially the title), if they were to stumble upon it.

This is common; it has nothing to do with JWism (as far as we can tell).
Read the obits, many say similar things regardless of religion, etc...
Perhaps the family doesn't need the money and this was their decision?
Perhaps this is to cover the cost of this huge funeral?

people get DF'd for this all the time.
Where are you guys from that haven't seen this happen?
if a faithful devout jw saw her husband on a board like this or reading "apostate" literature, if she was so disturbed by her husband's actions and the husband justified himself, would you think that if she told the elders because she was truly concerned that her mate was going to leave "the truth" and ultimately not make it into the "new system", --------that this was simply a marital issue-----not a religious one?.
your opinions please..
marital.
my ex did this (f'in you know what)
we both had left years prior.
Then she had the balls to bring up that I was DF'd in family (custody) Court.
For what reason I have no idea, we were arguing on whether or not the kids could go to her house for Easter....
She's a brilliant one, she is...
"He's DF'd! But I want my kids for Easter!"
