how do you see evil in general?

recently a book i came across people of the lie by a well known psychologist m. scott peck discussed evil and evil in some of his patients.

to him any harm whatsoever inflicted on another person is evil and a mental illness that can be cured.

My family and I had just crossed the Triborough Bridge.

We were looking at the Manhattan skyline and mentioning that we thought it was the best view of the city.Getting on the L.I.E., we missed seeing the first plane hit by a split second...

One thing I learned; the closer you are to a catastrophe, the less you know.

We thought we were being bombed. I punched the gas and went as fast as I could. Of course we were on Long Island, so I'm not sure where I thought I was going....

It was an insane day...

three years ago, the buzz was "its just around the corner".. two years ago, it was "almost at the door".. one year ago it was "at the threshold".. now the watchword is "the door of the ark is closing".. could it be that the new "members only" publications will now isolate a small inner core of this group?

I don't think that anyone said other religions were better. I don't think anyone even brought up other religions. That's because this is a JW Board. So we talk about JW beliefs and such. What a great idea, eh?

My point is: the JW concept is that everyone who is not a jw DESERVES to die. It's not just the paedos, rapists and murderers that will die, is it? Or has JW doctrine suddenly changed in the last 12 hours?
That is youre point is it....the Jw concept is that every one that is not a Jw DESERVES to die.
Rubbish I don't believe that only God can judge who deserves to die.
And you have judged me to believe that, thanks for youre judgement.

If you don't believe what your "TRUTH" tells you; Then why are you a JW to begin with?

ok most of us here on this board (including me) have got our grumbles with the wt for various reasons but please consider this:.

if you came into the 'truth' from the world at whatever point on your life and and have since then left the 'truth', do you think that you are a better person now than before you joined?.

I was raised a Witness. My mom did a good job teaching me morality and building a good base. She would attribute that to my JW upbringing.

They all do min. As my wife says: "If you need a religion to teach your kids right from wrong; you've got problems" (sounds better when she says it)
