Anyone else here think we can't wait for her to get knocked up and watch all her plans and schedules go right out the window. all so we can laugh and point?
yes it seems a bit cruel, but the spawn of your uterus will take one look at how you want to do it and puke on it.

Is Copper theft on the rise in your area ??
by Casper init has become unreal in our small hick town.
people are ripping out water lines in new homes before they are even finished, contractors are losing their minds.... our house has a walk out basement, garage combo with two huge windows.
all our water lines are copper and visible thru the windows... we're afraid we'll come home one day and they'll all be gone.... air conditioners have become a prime target.

Yes, it is a huge problem in our area. We have some really lovely old church buildings and they are having basically anything metal stolen off them.
I have started saving all my metal "garbage" and taking it to a recycling center myself.

Ok now for the funny part.
You remember all the times we sat down for the anthem or left entirely. Or even during our fades, we stood but didn't sing?
Well I sang my heart out!!!
Yes ladies, gents and fellow apostates, I sang the National Anthem with thousands of little kids. No I was not struck down by lightening. It felt wonderful to put one more brick on the wall between me and the borg.

husbands, bugs, cats, etc...
by Hortensia inmy husband, ex-husband that is, used to say some funny things.
he said, for instance, that the only purpose husbands serve is to bury dead animals and kill bugs.
he said that he learned over the years that if i screamed, he needed to come running with a shoe in his hand to kill the bug.

My cat Calvin could care less about spiders ( not that the little bitty ones here in Canada offer much sport for him) but don't let him even suspect a mouse. He is a fabulous mouser and taught my little primadonna Sasha to mouse as well.
Sasha prefers to watch him do the work.

Hard to tell, they were all having their screaming muffled in the second hall so they wouldn't disturb the faithful while their loving parents beat the crap out of them for breathing too loud. Bobbi

Old people and the internet
by Burger Time ini just read a post where a 52 year old woman posted a huge diatribe about a certain subject....not a big deal but it was used with multiple sized fonts and well just plainly over sized.
i have noticed this is a problem with most older ones who post on the internet?
whats up with that?

My mother used to do weird stuff to her emails, drove me crazy tying to read them.
Her mother, who got her first computer when she was 70, used a slightly larger font to make it easier
to read.
My other grand mother still can't even turn on a computer.

Prediction: Poorest attended DC's in recent history in 2008
by oompa inpeople in the usa are changing their eating habits already, and their driving habits of course.
there are many fairly poor jw's in this country, many with no health insurance, old clunker cars and just barely getting by.
the cost of so many things is getting ready to explode, especially consumables.....all delivered by ship, train, plane, and truck.

This is the first year I am not stressing getting to the DC. I don't have to worry about clothes and money for gas. I am not panicking about trying to convince Para to go or dealing with my monster in law who wants everything perfect but refused to help.
We are using our "DC" money to go to a Peach Festival in august. Way more fun!!
I love being an apostate!!

Witnesses were right! Blood substitutes better than real blood!
by Paralipomenon inhttp://edition.cnn.com/2008/health/04/28/blood.substitutes/index.html?iref=werecommend.
hahaha, just kidding, they're now linked to heart disease and attacks.
let's just get some new light to clear up this little misunderstanding....

The die hard dubs will find some way to slant this in their favor. IE: "Better to risk your life taking a blood substitute than to risk your everlasting life accepting a blood transfusion."
