i have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.
I cannot imagine your pain. Try to take comfort in knowing he knew how much you loved him. That is best thing you can give a child of any age.
Do what you need to do to get thru this, your son would not want you to suffer. Take care of your health and honor him by remembering him.

the memorial last thursday night was, to my recollection, the shortest i've ever attended.
thirty-five minutes.
it was truly a cliff notes version.
This year I completely forgot about the memorial. Para and I had plans to raise a glass of wine and toast the borg, however I forgot. Made me quite happy to realize the "ties that bind and gag" are loosening even further.

it has been over a month and a half since i have even been on the board, and that really only to ask about gps units (got a tom-tom) and mention the new job.
way too busy with life - post jw now 4 years.. of course, the new job has benefits, health insurance, etc.
(including unlimited use of the company car for personal use and the company pays for the unlimited gas for about a $25/week out of my check -- huge benefit) and this has enabled toni and i to finally after a two year engagement, to get married.
OK I know I am very late however,,,,,,,,

i heard this statement at the dc today (saturday), the talk about some new brochure to help those who can't read in order to learn the basics of the truth:.
"one study finds that 42% of canadians can not read well enough to function in society... that's right brothers...
of course, no source was given, and then the speaker says how important this new 'tool' will be in the ministry.... i asked the wife what she thought of that and she agreed it sounded fishy.
Thinking back over the applications and resumes I've had dropped off at my store, I am not surprised. Not only are they misspelled or grammatically flawed, they are messy. Very few take the time to actually read the questions let alone answer in full sentences. I've had several instances where people have walked in and asked about employment, seemed really great and I would be interested in interviewing formally, never return with the application form.
i still can't believe it.
she was here for the bbq, we had an awesome time, laughing, her telling stories from our childhoods.
i gave her a hug and told her i loved her before she left.

well this year'a assembly is over and the dubs in the vancouver bc area are mad at the gb.
about 100.000 dubs had to travel all the way to kamloops bc about a 300 mile drive one way!!.
i have heard that that each dub had to shell out $500 bucks and more for food and lodging just to hear some druel about scolio.
Even if the "mumbling and grumbling" gets noticed by anyone who cares all that will happen is this..

This guy is probably nuts, but we don't know what happened to him in his childhood. Many people are
abused by elders. His mother might have actually tied him to a clothesline. How often do we hear
of JW's using demons as an excuse to justify behavior.
In his mind things may have gotten warped.
I feel sorry for him and wish him peace.
