  Local Kingdom Hall Speakers To Be Replaced By Governing Body Video Feeds.

  so we've seen as the current gb is getting more facetime in an effort to reach the hearts and minds of the rank and file.

  this took a leap with video feeds at an open annual meeting.

  the international conventions are taking this a step farther.. do you think that local speakers at kingdom halls could ever be replaced by headquarter approved video feeds?.

  UNB. I remember those days when we used wind up phonographs to play to householders. They were like a briefcase and the top would open and you wind up the spring with a handle on the side. The record was the old kind of some sort of stuff that would break if you droped it. There was no electronic speaker. The needle would activate the little speaker it was atached to. Those were the days back in the early 40's or late 30's.

  does anyone have the article written by the wt saying that the end would come in 1975?.

  how did people back then come to this year?

  i need this information becuase i was told, this was never literally written by the wt in any publication.. thanks.

  I was at the convention in NY when Franz first gave us this idea that 1975 was the end of 6,000 years. I believed the end might come then but not really thought it was without some mistake in time.

  they will pay for that in the end for all the misery they have caused for hundreds of thousands of families in the rules they have made and for the separation of the family.

  Didn't the Jesus say he came not to bring peace but trouble between families in the bible? Matt. 10:34

  They sure fullfiled that saying of Jesus.

  According to many religions GOD will sacrifice himself to himself to be able to forgive sin that he put on all humans because a man ate a piece of fruit he was told not to do. We had no choice to not be a sinner. Now we must believe in a creature he made from a sinfull woman. Then he made him die to be able to forgive humans that he made sinners. Christ was God according to the trinity doctrine.

  Wonder why all life on earth dies, were plants and animals sinners? Why all the viruses, bacteria and diseases happen to saved people who accept Christ as their savior but get the same punishment as evil people.

  I was sitting on my porch and saw my great-grandson ride his bike across the road. If a car had hit him I would be blamed for it. But why wouldn't God be blamed since he can stop any bad things from happening.

  I'm having a hard time comming to any conclusion about a God, although I can't understand how the universe could be here without a creator, but have the same question about how a God could be here. I think I will just wait and see after I die, if there is any thing after death. Ohoooo! it's so hot here I should just believed.............

  I went to church with my wife and family yesterday. The preacher was so full of emotion. spirit or whatever you want to call the way he preached. What I can't understand about Christain faith is the idea of a sacrifice that a god would give to himself that he made himself through a woman.

  The preacher kept saying that if we accept the sacrifice(Christ) we are saved from sin. Well if that is true we shouldn't keep dying because of Adam's sin. Well maybe God didn't like what he created(people on earth) so he going to make them part of a spirit world some day soooooooon. Oh, I forgot he's going to make a new earth too.

  I guess all you have to do to understand God's way of getting it right is read the book of Revelation. All those horses and riders and things will come and destroy and make it all right if you just believe all that stuff.

  I guess we humans can't understand God's way of thinking, even from his bible that is written by men. You just have to have faith in something you can't understand and let some feeling get in your soul, whatever that is.

  What am I going to do before I die pretty soon so I will go to those big houses in the sky? Oh, I guess I'll go to the big fire in the earth and burn forever and ever.

  I liked going to the conventions because I visited so many cities I would have never seen when I was young. NYC, Florida, St. Louis, California. My parents wouldn't have had the money if they didn't save enoug to go because of the JW religion. I liked the teenage girles I met too.

  I liked my JW family on my Dad's side, there was none on my mother's family that were JW's but they were nice relatives.

  Anyone been watchtower conductor

  i think there is a good chance i'm going to be asked to be the watchtower conductor.

  on the one hand, i'll find it quite difficult some weeks having to go along with what is written.

  on the other hand, there'll be opportunities to ask controversial questions (within limits).

  For about ten years, 50 years ago. All I can remember is on Sat. underlining the WT answers and the ones at the KH reading thier underlining after the question was read, then someone reading the WT. paragraph to the cong.
