When the irrefutable evidence is produced that they did indeed disassociate themselves from the UN, after being associated for 10 years, I think they will claim they did so because of all the distress is was causing the brothers, and although the association was for the "preaching of the good news throughout the inhabited earth" their support of UN ideals is causing "a stumbling" and for that reason they are leaving.
Bullshit!

"I can't find my car..."
by teejay inone of my closest friends in all the world is someone i'll call m. m is in her mid-thirties and was raised a jw from infancy but is one no longer.
her parents are still very jw... her dad is a very high profile, respected elder in a large american city.
they are both cool people... i've sat and had long talks with both of them about subjects having nothing to do with 'the truth.

My eyes are so filled with tears, I can hardly see to type. That was one of the most moving stories I've ever read. How often I wish I could curl up in my mother or fathers's arms, But they're both gone now. I still dream that I'm in their farmhouse, and when I wake up, it's to a feling of emptyness.
How I wish I could change the last year of my father's life. If only I could have crawled into his sick bed and told him how much I truly,tryly loved him...In stead we spent his last days of him critizing my religion (he was catholic) and me trying to feebly defend "the truth." How much I wish I had gone to his 75th Birthday party,attended by over 100 people, but his only daughter wasn't there.
I felt it was "wrong." Right now I can't stop sobbing. -

"(all pre 1975) and then after a. didn't come as expected, an article was written stating that "some foolishly sold their belongings, etc.
" i may have the books in question and would like to show my husband in black and white.. i have gone back over all the threads but i'm getting dizzy.

Question on Teaching UN is Beast to recruits?
by hawkaw inquestion to you intelligent jws and exjws.. does the wt, through its knowledge book or whatever, make sure new recruits know who the scarlet coloured wild beast is or disgusting thing is (ie, the un), who is part of the great harlot etc before becoming full blown jws?.
like should new recruits know this off by heart thanks to the rote teaching?.

i feel so disloyal to jehovah by reading all the info on this web site, but what got me to post here in the first place was the information on the un.
i guess i'm trying to tell myself that it's reaally not that bad, that they had a very good reason for forming a slight alliance with the disgusting thing, etc.
