JW Elder Spy Stories

after my brother-in-law left bethel, he got a "worldly" girlfriend.

the local jws wanted to know if he was living with her or not.

so they got the city overseer to spy on him.

Of course, there's always the "stayed overnight" rule. I know of plenty of Witness women who spent the night with a friend sitting outside their ex-husband's home, so they could testify that he spent the whole night with a woman. I don't consider them aggressors or spies... I consider them victims of the Watchtower's ridiculous rules.

A sweet 60 year old sister in my congregation was forced to do this in order to divorce her unbelieving, abusive mate. Forcing people to resort to this demeaning, and possible illegal action is sickening beyond belief.

Sorry it's not about elder spying, but I just had to say this. This sister's case has been dragging on for several years. i want to bite nails everytime I think about it!!

News Update

i have been away for a couple of weeks, distracted by legal, work and health issues.

it all came down at a time when i am trying to get some things done regarding the jw child abuse issues.. added to my heart disease is disbetes ... cool ... in addition to not having fats, cholestrol, caffiene, cigarettes and sodium ... now i have to cut out carbs, sugar, coke, and take more medicine.

my diet is reduced to a thin piece of clear fibre paper every other night, forty pills, and purified water.

Yesterday we bought our Very First Christmas Tree!

well, actually, i did, but with the blessings of the family.

it's fake (too many allergies in the house to risk a real one), pre-lit, and 7 feet tall.

i think it's going to be gorgeous.

How exciting for you and the family! i envy you. I love trees, but I'm afraid to put one up, and my husband is not keen on the idea at all. Too bad you can't have a real tree, the smell is divine.

I didn't even get a chance to say hello, and now you're leaving! I wish you success on your journey, where ever it may lead you. When the elders stop by to encourage me, I'm usually too emotional to ask questions. Maybe you could ask them one for me? Is the United Nations still considered the wild beast? I am lucky to be alive

i don't know if anyone noticed since i'm not one of the premier posters, but i've been gone for several weeks.

unfortunately, the reason is i was in a very bad car accident.

i can't give too many details, because i don't want to be identified, but my car was hit by a semi truck on a major freeway during rush hour.

it's 2 am, and my whole country is asleep and i badly need to talk, and someone to hold me.

i have been out of this fucking cult for nearly two years, and i have not been bothered by demonz since then ... until now.

right.. i woke up, not able to breathe and see a thing, and i grabbed the phone to call my boyfriend, but i must have misdialed ( thank god, cuz he'd think i was nuts otherwise) and then i tried to scream, but i couldn't.

What a wonderful account! Thank you for relating it to us. I especially liked the part about there being absolutely no biblical scripture to support "wait on Jehovah" when is child is molested. That point needs to be driven home to every Jehovah's Witness. Please keep us informed of your progress.
