As it turns out the obligations were crushing to say the least and the cost has been so high that Im still paying for it some 25 years later!

Personally, I find You Know quite fascinating, somewhat of an enigma in fact.
On the one hand he fancies himself as a great defender of the faith. He valiantly thrusts himself into the very camp of the adversary, (the dreaded den of apostates), doing battle for his God-direct organization.
Then on the other hand, he defies the very directives of his so-called divinely directly organization by his very association with us, the very spawn of Satan. I wonder how he reconciles this in his mind.
As stated by others more eloquently then I, he makes long-winded pronouncements that are half his own thoughts and half cut-and- paste Watchtower drivel. Then, after he is good and bloodied, he pronounces himself the winner and quickly withdraws to lick his wounds.
YK my friend, you are indeed a wonder to behold, a true enigma.

Got Given A Witness Today.
by Englishman inthere i was, enjoying a lovely warm morning in sunny winscombe in deepest somerset whilst working on a clients roof, when out of the corner of my eye i espied 3 ladies sauntering up the road at a leisurely 0.5mph.
aha, i thought, that looks like the pioneer crawl, there's dubs on the horizon!
i had my car parked in the customers driveway, so i thought to myself "why not take a break now, sit in the car and munch my blt, and see if they approach?".

JW commercial on t.v. news channel
by LyinEyes ini can not beleive what i just saw on the all news channel.
it was a commercial endorsed by the christain congregation of jehovah's witnesses.. the commercial starts off with a mom checking on her son,who can not sleep .
he is upset and by the drawing he did, you can tell it is about the world trade center attacks.

The Watch Tower sure has balls, first condemning the satanic media and now using it to promote their brand of religious propaganda. I guess we shouldnt be that surprised since these same fine men also condemned the UN and even the churches for being NGO members of the UN when as it turns out, they themselves were doing the exact same thing. Can you say hypocrisy boy and girls?
How about the WT publications that graphically shows the destruction of scores of people and even buildings that greatly resemble the twin towers. I wonder how many of the little kiddies had nightmares over this. Unbelievable, just unbelievable, what a dangerous and obscenely evil cult the Watch Tower is! Freeman

This is a pretty interesting turn of events.
I wonder how many people are aware of the JW connection in all of this? Ill bet most folks dont realize that the so-called offending phrase One nation under God was added to the original words of the pledge as a concession to the JWs by a former US president. This president was raised in the truth.
Inserting under God to the pledge apparently was meant to overcome the objection of some witnesses to saying the pledge since now the act of worship (if thats what you believe it is) would be directed to God and not the state.
This apparently did not work as the witnesses still objected to reciting the pledge in any form, (even with the additional wording), and in fact they won a Supreme Court decision effectively excusing witness children, (and anyone else that objected) from the obligation of the pledge altogether.
I wonder, if this decision stands, will we then be obliged to remove in God we trust from all our currency? Will the oaths taken for various positions in government have to be re-written to remove such offending phrases as so help me God? Will displays of the Ten Commandments now have to be removed form all court houses? And finally will sessions of congress be obliged to discontinue opening with prayer as they do now?
Left to stand, this ruling could have quite an impact, dont you think?
Personally I think it will be struck down, as the majority of US citizens are religious at some level. Further, the very heritage of this nation and the constitution itself was founded on religious principles. So my personal opinion is that this ruling doesnt have a prayer once it reaches the US Supreme Court (pun intended). Just my incoherent ramblings.
