I have a good habit; I put the toilet seat down. Im told thats an admirable trait in a man, and probably the reason my wife married me.

yes queenie wants to know does any of us have some good habits like paying income taxex on time, paying bills on time, telling your wife how much you love and care about her and that she is the queen of your heart--things like that ????

use theocratic war strategy.
webster's dictionary definition of "big lie":.
webster's dictionary definition of "slander":.
I really like this part:
Likewise, when a Christian is placed on a witness stand he is obligated to speak the truth if he speaks at all.
They can put this in print knowing full well that they also publish a guide used in child custody cases that coaches children on the witness stand to falsely give the impression to the judge that they want to pursue normal everyday work and hobby choices rather then reveal in court their true training in the pursuit of wacko sounding kingdom goals such as pioneering, bethel service etc.
Unbelievable, just freakn unbelievable! What an evil dark thing the Watchtower is!
You have to admit it, the Watchtower has deception and lying down to a fine art.
Freeman
remember, you had the truth!
everybody else didn't even have a clue!
the worldly people never understood our spiritual paradise.
Come to think of it, I did feel special in one sense knowing the supposed real reason the world was in the shape it was in and also knowing what was just about to happen any day now. At the same time, I also felt a bit stupid having to be so different then the rest of the world. Deep inside, I believe all I wanted was to be normal like everyone else.
It can't be denied that the organization promotes the idea that as a JW you are special; their literature is replete with such nonsense. I liken it to a club mentality, with only the members knowing the secret handshake.
A few years back I was doing special work for the government. I held a security clearance well above Top Secret. And from time to time I met with others to discuss some of the details of our projects. When I went to these classified meetings it was like a club atmosphere. Everyone there felt just a bit more privileged, just a bit better and a cut above everyone else. It was kind of a snobbish club to say the least.
And that is precisely what being part of the Watchtower is all about. As a JW, you are an exclusive club member. From the special buzzwords and unwritten rules of the club, right down to the secret handshake, you are better then everyone else.
What jerks we all were.
Freeman (Wishing he never learned the secret Watchtower handshake)
after posting a reply to another thread i wondered if anyone can answer these questions??.
1. why are sisters not allowed to wear trousers?.
2. when sisters where a skirt why have they got to be below the knee?.
I remember years ago, maybe around 1977 or 1978 some talk that that had a phrase to the effect that the mature Christian woman would not have slits in their skirts as this is immodest.
That was the public talk.
By the time the Watchtower study started at least three sisters had their slits pinned up, just like that.
Yes Jehovahs people sure are sheep like.
Yep like dumb stupid stupid sheep.
God I really hate this cult, can you tell?

in an earlier topic, blondie made reference to heated discussions in congregations over kh builds.
this raises a question.
my father was and elder who was selected as the building coordinator for the new kh in our local area about 2-3 years ago.
Kind of the same type of story but different players and a twist at the end.
This time the fall guy is an Elder with a large family to support, eight of them all together. He is a VERY good construction worker and the Society uses him all the time on building projects. Because he has such a large family, and he devotes so many hours to Kingdom hall building even going out of state to do so, he has had a rather hard time making ends meet. Then the car breaks down; he is screwed, so they do without.
Washing machine breaks down too, so they do without.
Did the Society or even the local Elders ever part with a few bucks to help him out?
Nope.
Wait, it gets better.
With him out on the road so much doing all these freebies for the Society two of his sons get into trouble.
So what happens?
He gets deleted as an Elder because "he was not taking care of his family properly".
So where is he now?
No not at home.
The Society has asked him to work out of state again on another building project. And of course he just had to go, after all, its for Jehovah.
So sad, so very very sad.

i hope jt doesn't mind me doing this.
i had to take my daughter to loma linda u yesterday for her yearly blood work and check-up.
all went well, btw.
Thank you BG,
I missed that thread the first time around. Boy that JT is not only a deep thinker, but also a very nice person indeed. The depth of JTs humanity comes through his words so clearly.
Well so much for all X-witnesses being uncaring pond scum as the Tower teaches.
Again, thank you for sharing this gem of a post.

>do you remember at assemblies when you would hear talks on how the organization loves its young people.
by publishing a book "young people ask" this would be pretty much the extent of what they would do for it's young people.
it would be like a father saying to his kids i love you, here is a book how to live your life and never spend any time with them.
The Society loves its young people do they? Well they have a strange way of showing it.
Oh sorry, I forgot they did publish that AWAKE with the picture of all the dead JW kids who died after not receiving a blood transfusion. Put their mugs right on the cover. Yep thats love alright.
And of course we know the Society very much cares about all its young rape victims too. Once again that is love.
Yes sir the Society and in fact and at least 23,720 members of the Watchtower just love young people.
I understand Michael Jackson loves young people too.

Being removed from Gods spirit as you no doubt are, you obviously also are a person that has little in the way of spiritual understanding as is evidenced by you lack of understanding on this simple matter.
In your simple mind you reason that this is some type of hypocrisy when in fact it is just part of theocratic order.
I shall explain further heathen.
There are many examples like this and if you had the correct viewpoint you would understand why it is OK for the Watchtower to condemn the UN as being a manifestation of the devil and the churches that support it by being NGO members while at the same time the Watchtower is also an NGO member of the UN.
Fool that you are, do you not see this is theocracy not hypocrisy? Is it not plain to see?
Must I point to yet other examples unworthy one?
When the Watchtower says that you must die rather then receive an organ transplant, a vaccine, or a particular blood fraction and then changes its mind without so much as an apology, your heart should rejoice!
But does it? Likely not.
In fact you feel anger rather then pride after the death of your child because of Gods ever-changing rules as distributed by the Faithful and Discreet Slave.
I could go on and on with examples but it is wasted on one such as you, someone who lives their life using reason and logic rather then faith in Gods Faithful Slave.
But there is Good News, the Good News of Jehovahs Kingdom!
And in a nutshell hear it is:
Soon, very soon, God will wipe all tears from everyone eyes when he kills you, your children, and most of the people alive today.
I know a logical thinking person like you cant understand this, but just trust in God. After all, its for your own good.

we read of recent events, 5 jw children killed in a car accident, jw's caught and beheaded and be-tongued (and not necessarily in that order) in the phillipines, a busload of witnesses burnt to death in spain on the way to the district convention (some years back).
and so on and so on..... yet the wt and bible too tell us "have no fear because jehovah and his myriads of angels are watching over us and will protect us.".
well, they do a pretty crappy job at it!
I recall several times that divine intervention protected me.
On more then one occasion my van or car that I used for service would breakdown and I was unable to go out that day. This protected not only me from the drudgery of field service but others that depended on me providing transportation as well.
I also recall one or two occasions that I had picked up a bad case of the runs. So no way was I going door to door in that condition.
So there you have it folks, positive proof God is protecting his people through automobile breakdowns and diarrhea.

another fine example of the watch tower dishonestly quoting and taking out of context what people believe and say.. this fine example was emailed to me by a good friend an ex district overseer in the usa.
let me offer a good example of the use of selective quotations.
for many, many years the society has quoted famed british astronomer sir fred hoyle out of context.
The dishonesty I found in this WT publication is what finally opened my eyes.
