I was told once of a conspiracy theory that several of the world's governments have been taken over by extraterrestrial invaders that disguise themselves as humans. They are said to have come here from a planet known as "MORON", or more precisely the southern portion of MORON known as "IDIOT".

Think about how your government is run, and then ask yourself could it be that idiots from the planet moron are running things? Ponder this for a while.

Yes, it kind of all fits into place does it not?

So who knows, maybe we have been invaded by more then one race of extraterrestrial. Maybe some run the government, and the others run a particular religion. So maybe, just maybe the lady in the article is not so wacky after all. Think about it.

My favorite was/is Ray Franz. Met him years ago at Bethel, ate lunch with him as I recall. This was long ago, when I was new. When I told people I had lunch with brother Franz, they made a real big deal over it like he was some type of rock star. they wanted to know all about him. When they came to understand it was Ray Franz, and not his uncle, they sighed and walked away.

I remember it made me feel kind of creepy like I did something wrong. They were evidently disappointed in me for having lunch with the wrong (read unimportant) Franz. Oh the love among the brothers; creeps! I have not seen him in all these years since but I respect him even more now and I wish him well.

At least some of Billy Joel's family are JW. I remember when my younger son was driven home one day in one of Billy Joel's cars, he liked that. His sister is a JW for sure, as my older son and her are good friends. Oops did I just give away my location? Oh well. Billy is a very generous person and as I recall he donated an expensive telescope to my older son's private (read jw run) school a few years back.

Abuse in other religions?

i have been a jw all my life and i'm in mid to late 40's.

i've seen much abuse.currently i am inactive/attend occ meeting.. my husband who is also a jw and attends some meetings but has been inactive in service for some time due to depression.not at all responsive to me talking to him about this site.he defends jw to the end.my question has to do with other religions than jw.

my husband says that issues like child molestation/ abuse and rape have not generally been dealt well with by anybody until lately.i am from texas and here the baptist and church of christ are major religions.

I have to agree with Yeru when he said:

I would add to that some other points. To my knowledge, other churches don't generally claim to be the one and only true church and that all others are under the control of the devil. Also most churches do not keep shamelessly slapping themselves on the back about how much more moral they are then other religions. So if the other churches are in the same boat as the Tower, then the Tower is quite a bit more reprehensible because of their I'm holier then you attitude.

Just my 2 cents.

the history channel had a spt.

11 show on last night, and most of it was the same ol' same ol'---but something did catch my attention.. video was being shown of people evacuating lower manhattan, and the brooklyn bridge was filled to capacity with people.. the voice over says, "people fled every way they could--they streamed across the bridge to brooklyn.".

now, i'm wondering, if you had just left ground zero and you were one of the ones runningon the bridge--and you saw a big sign that said--.

Stop bashing the witnesses on this; they did the best with what they had.

Sure they locked their doors like cowards but they have been condition not to trust the outside world so can you blame them? And anyway who wants a bunch of bleeding people covered in dust in the lobby? Could you imagine what a mess they would make of God house? This would not please him.

You people are just so quick to criticize the Watchtower that you forgot the great acts of ~~self-interest~~ bravery the witnesses in fact perform at ground zero in the days after Sept 11. Sure lots and lots of people gave money, donated food, and gave changes of clothing to all the volunteers at ground zero, but have you forgotten that only witnesses were out there bringing comfort by ~~selling~~ placing spiritual food in the form of Watchtowers and Awakes. They even did a special reprint of a terrorist related issue so to help ~~take advantage of vulnerable~~ people, and ~~join their cult~~ draw close to God. And did anyone thank them for all this? No, not even the police, they told them to leave.

Sure lots of Christendoms clergy and lay members were out freely giving of themselves but not one of them was ~~selling~~ placing Gods food at the proper time, and dont you forget that.
