Sure do wish I could be with you guys, but I was called away to work in California the last minute. I'm putting some fliers up at the local Kingdom Hall here too, just for good measure. strange things are happening here in oz after the "silent witnesses" was seen on the sunday programme today.
long-serving elders here in oz are getting unsettled already it seems.
without compromising certain individuals, we can say that phone calls to certain participants are being received.
Glad to hear it is shaking things up. Any chance of getting this program as a video file on the net, maybe putting it up on kazza as an avi or mpeg? I myself know many people in the states that need to see this also a copy to Bill Bowen would be a great idea too.

anyway i saw this on the news last night and again this morning.
there is no telling where this woman is but somebody from somewhere must know who she is and i would think turn her in.
Prosecutors say the woman's sister, who had been with her in the store, has already been arrested. She faces charges of failing to report child abuse, while the child's mother could face felony battery charges in the Sept. 13 beating.
I'm shaking my head wondering why Jehovah's Witness Elders are not put in jail for failing to report child abuse, like this woman's sister was.
Is not child rape an even worse form of child abuse then just beating the kid?
It is a fact that this has happened hundreds of times behind the walls of the Watchtower and yet not one single Elder has ever gone to jail for not reporting the abuse. That is disgusting!

Bill, I'm afraid your reinstatement may be somewhat delayed because of your recent actions. Bill you're just not following the JW playbook and it's doubtful they will let you back into the club again until you do. It clearly states on page 193 under the subtitle Grovling what you need to do.
Grovling: The erring brother should sit quietly in the back of the Hall, hands folded, paying careful attention to the meeting and avoiding eye contact with other members.
Clearly storming the Tower is not at all showing the fruits of repentance. (LOL)

Think about how your government is run, and then ask yourself could it be that idiots from the planet moron are running things? Ponder this for a while.

So who knows, maybe we have been invaded by more then one race of extraterrestrial. Maybe some run the government, and the others run a particular religion. So maybe, just maybe the lady in the article is not so wacky after all. Think about it.

when i got to know him, he was an old man, and our theocratic ministry school servant.
My favorite was/is Ray Franz. Met him years ago at Bethel, ate lunch with him as I recall. This was long ago, when I was new. When I told people I had lunch with brother Franz, they made a real big deal over it like he was some type of rock star. they wanted to know all about him. When they came to understand it was Ray Franz, and not his uncle, they sighed and walked away.
I remember it made me feel kind of creepy like I did something wrong. They were evidently disappointed in me for having lunch with the wrong (read unimportant) Franz. Oh the love among the brothers; creeps! I have not seen him in all these years since but I respect him even more now and I wish him well.

At least some of Billy Joel's family are JW. I remember when my younger son was driven home one day in one of Billy Joel's cars, he liked that. His sister is a JW for sure, as my older son and her are good friends. Oops did I just give away my location? Oh well. Billy is a very generous person and as I recall he donated an expensive telescope to my older son's private (read jw run) school a few years back.

i have been a jw all my life and i'm in mid to late 40's.
i've seen much abuse.currently i am inactive/attend occ meeting.. my husband who is also a jw and attends some meetings but has been inactive in service for some time due to depression.not at all responsive to me talking to him about this site.he defends jw to the end.my question has to do with other religions than jw.
my husband says that issues like child molestation/ abuse and rape have not generally been dealt well with by anybody until lately.i am from texas and here the baptist and church of christ are major religions.
I have to agree with Yeru when he said:
The biggest difference is that I've not seen other churches excommunicating or disfellowshipping those who criticize or go public as the Society has done.
I would add to that some other points. To my knowledge, other churches don't generally claim to be the one and only true church and that all others are under the control of the devil. Also most churches do not keep shamelessly slapping themselves on the back about how much more moral they are then other religions. So if the other churches are in the same boat as the Tower, then the Tower is quite a bit more reprehensible because of their I'm holier then you attitude.
