Without a doubt, you made all the right choices and persevered under the most difficult of situations. I congratulate you and hope this CO leads many more to discover the truth about the truth as you have. Best wishes Sadie.

after reading cruzenheart's post on the letter about her father, and the treatment he received from the co, william osbeck, and the elders of his congregation, it brought back my own memories of this particular co and his treatment of people.
it was 1995 and one of the hardest years of my life.
in february of that year, i learned i was pregnant with our fifth child.
Without a doubt, you made all the right choices and persevered under the most difficult of situations. I congratulate you and hope this CO leads many more to discover the truth about the truth as you have. Best wishes Sadie.

i'm amazed the watchtower hasn't started one of these, a guaranteed way to sucker in the youth of the borg.. with oral roberts university as successful as it is, how long to the jw's start one ??????.
what do you think the classes would be called ??????.
- new world translation 101.
LOL at run-don’t-walk :
But I think you forgot about the graduate level courses:
-NON-Critical Thinking 601
-Adjusting to New Light, Again 603
-Pioneering Until You Are Old and Gray 620
And we can’t forget the obligatory thesis needed for graduation:
‘Child Molestation In Our Ranks, a Secret Worth Keeping’
Hopefully such nonsense will never become reality in my lifetime. Thanks for the chuckle.

this article was on yahoo news today.
i suppose the bush administration is content with shelving a report by their own treasury secretary if it conflicted with dubya's agenda.
to hell with everyone else!
Reborn, the reality is that in this particular case, old Dubya just may in fact be right. Apparently Dubya was paying attention in class at Harvard on the day his professor discussed the “Lafler curve” and he is now trying his hand at it. Funny thing about stimulative (sp?) tax cuts; they seem to work every time they are tried. It worked for Jack Kennedy, and it worked for Ronald Ray-gun. I guess we will just have to wait and see if it works for Dubya too; sure hope it does.

those of you that know me well know that i'm not going to say anything or much of anything anymore in this forum.. .
however, i will be offering much of my music instead.
i won't be posting it here anymore.
Hey Fark, don’t leave! I appreciate what you can do, and what you can do with a piano is nothing less then magic! I’m pretty musically inclined myself (I’ve played keyboard and about 8 other instruments for close to forty years now), but quite honestly, I couldn’t come anywhere near the level of your chops no matter how long or hard I practiced, never ever.
Good God Fark, if people have a problem with your ego, then they would also have problems with the egos of eagles as they soar. Please don’t give in to these nay-saying assholes; they are after all only dip-fucks anyway (sorry Simon). Just my 2 cents

Yep, put them in jail. I don’t give a flying Fu&*@ what your religious beliefs are, you just don’t put people in harms way, especially innocent children.

me and my battle buddies.
dan is the biggest korean i've ever met, and sara jean really took care of us.
this is me pretending to be a red neck cop.
Great Photos Yeru! You and your buddies have an excellent sense of humor.
I really enjoyed that, thanks!
'just when i'm about to get out, they keep pulling me back in"- godfather 3.. this quote does'nt truly apply to me, but just when i am convinced there are absolutely no redeemable qualities about the borg this really nice elder comes up to me and very calmly tells me how much i am loved and missed at the meetings, to not feel any pressure, and that jehovah will always be there for me, and that he (the elder) would too.
he had a very calm, serene, quality about him.
came off as truly "spiritual".
Integ: I’m wondering; if everyone misses you so much at the hall, why don’t these caring people ring you up on the phone or perhaps drive over to your house to see how you are? Think about it.
IMHO you have to weigh this Elders apparent goodness (I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt that he is being sincere) and the very dark things that you already know about the Tower. Does his goodness negate the fact that the Tower protects pedophiles and puts children at risk, or that they kill thousands of people every year through their unexplainable and indefensible blood policy. Trust your instincts, unless your instincts happen to tell you to return to the hall, in which case you need to seek professional help ASAP. Just my 2 cents.

so, were you considered spiritual?
were they proud of you?
what was your reputation like in your congregation?.
I was never considered highly spiritual, not by a long shot, but at the same time I was not considered bad association. Some of my best friends were in fact elders (even the one that robbed me of $1,000.00, but that’s a story for another time). I spent entirely too much time on non-spiritual pursuits to be considered exemplary and this fascination as it turns out led to my eventual downfall, THANK GOD!
due to the fact that most of us do not feel that it is scripturally wrong to take blood, if your relative was told that they needed a transfusion and you could see that they get it, even if it's against their wishes, would you force blood into them??
?
You bet your ass I would!

from what i have noticed, is that both subjects, may well start out as logical debate but soon logic goes out the window and the 'debate' evolves into full blown argument.
i realise they are both serious subjects, but really, some people need to lighten up a little with their outlook on life.
life's too short (unless you're a jw.
Political and religious debate IMHO is a very good thing as it exposes individuals to a plethora of issues and forces them to both defend and confront their particular beliefs and prejudices; such encounters are paramount to the learning process. The unfortunate downside of this is that such debates also expose the darker side of human nature. However I still believe the overall effect is indeed positive even if a few feathers get ruffled along the way. Keep debating!
Just my 2 cents.
