99% of the people on this forum are hopelessly believers in one sided non-sense.

i am tired of the abusive language that has been dumped on me by otherwise respectable participants.

Oh yes attack not only the victim, but attack someone trying to protect these silent lambs too. You really must be a wonderful human. To bad you as a child have never had the pleasure of being raped by an adult that you trusted, or have you? Maybe if you had something thrust up your ass that didn’t belong there, then perhaps you would understand things a little clearer.

Religious bias aside, exactly what standard would you propose we use to investigate these alleged rapes. Are you suggesting we continue to use the Watchtower methodology of asking the alleged perpetrator “did you do this” and if he says no, we turn to the victim and say “sorry you don’t have two witnesses”, “oh and remember not to say anything bad about this man, don’t warn anyone else”. “Remember he must be treated like an innocent man because you did not produce two witnesses”. “Oh and one last thing, try and warn anyone else and we will disfellowship you, everyone you know will shun you, and in the end God will kill you too”.

Yes the Watchtower investigation and justice model has worked so well hasen’t it, (NOT!). The ball is in your court Proplog2, what do you suggest sport?

i have a good friend who i grew up with and now lives in mobile, al.

of course, when i was d/f'd a couple of years back, all contact was gone.

Funny you should bring up the subject of leading a double life. I see it not only in JW adults, but in their kids too. I have JW kids over my house all the time, some of them Elder’s kids and let me tell you, many of them are quite different when they are out of sight of the parents.

Some may think of this as spying (it is) but one of the things I do is monitor where my kids go on the Internet. My kids go to some stupid sites, but not porn sites, not on my computer anyway. Although I must say one kid has a fascination with Britney Spears. However, I’m sorry to say the Elders kids are a different story; porn sites are the fist place they seem to go.

I did not rat them out, as I don’t feel it’s my place to, I also know all about raging hormones, and after all I was no angel at their age, Come to think of it, I even had a subscription to playboy when I was their age. Then again maybe I should tell their parents. I am very torn on this issue, any opinions?

One thing I did do is let my kids know that I KNOW and because of that they told me “boy dad that ain’t nothing, you should know about some of the other stuff they did”; and then went into a litany of things a few of them did. Wow I realized right then and there just how much of a double life some of these kids lead. I also realized how worthwhile it has been to ensure my kids could come to their mom or me and talk about anything, because they really do.

If there is one saving grace about these kids leading double lives, I think it is that they will likely drop the shackles of the Watchtower as soon as they are out of the house. What do you think?

I have a question. If a Christian can be loyal both to God and to earthly governments and can take oaths of allegiance to defend the Constitution, why can’t a Christian, (using the same principle) recite the pledge of allegiance? Do you see the contradiction? I dare a dub loyalist to explain this. No make that, I double-dog-dare any dub to explain this contradiction.

I don’t know the answer to the specific question you are asking, however you may find it interesting that the INS has created a special oath just for Witnesses being sworn in as new citizens. I believe it avoids such wording as ‘defend and uphold the Constitution’ and replaces it with something to the effect of pledging to obey the laws of the US.

we scoped out the small town for its amenities, and this included a visit to the kingdom hall where we would eventually attend.. hindsight, being 20-20, i regret now that i did not try to get my family out of the organization before the move.

Did any of you heed the warning signs such as the very name “sexy-teen”? Kind of a strange moniker for a dub, don’t you think? That crossed my mind immediately, but I went on, and played right into his/her hands, didn’t I. I believe there were one or two people that seemed to be totally on to it from the beginning, was it Simon or someone else that even early on said something like ‘sexy-YO-YO’ or something to that effect? Not sure without re-reading the thread. I assume he or they were not using clairvoyance but reading the incoming ip address to ascertain this info.

Some people are very upset about this and I can understand that, but as for me; I’m not. It’s OK with me because my few minor posts to sexy-yo-yo were quite sincerer and without ulterior motive, and he/she knows that. In fact many others here were just trying to help another person questioning his or her beliefs, a place many of us know all to well. Now are you ready for the good news my fellow fools?

Whatever the motives of this person, he/she was “witnessed to” and because of the outpouring of sincerity of so many posters, the physiological barriers the Watch Tower has erected were likely breached. The Watchtower filter programs implanted in their heads do not handle sincerity and compassion well and are therefore often bypassed. This person, like it or not got an extensive witness, something none of us would normally be able to do. Oh and it gets better. Don’t forget about all those that read but are not ready to yet post. They too got a great witness. Imagine that, honest compassionate apostates! Quite the opposite of the way the Watchtower portrays us.

Yes, I’m getting that old feeling back again, like when I went out in field service and thought I found a sheep. The only difference now is that I TRULY am helping to set someone free!

Please feel free to play me for the fool again anytime; but just be prepared to learn the real truth about the truth when you do.

Good points focus,

You are absolutely correct even down to catching the smallest but pivotal errors on my part. You also said “And learn some more Physics”. One can never learn enough about this complex subject. I worked for approximately 5 yeas in NASA’s Space Physics Analysis Lab in Greenbelt Maryland, but I can’t say enough ever rubbed off on me to make much of a noticeable difference. I am still quite the novice.

It’s sad to observe that even when a creationist speaks facts, the supposedly more enlightened evolutionists can’t seem to get past his own prejudices to see and appreciate the one speaking truth. The statement “ordered complexity necessitates design” is not a desperate clarion call of creationists, it is and observable occurrence in everyday life, it is a fact like it or not.

I ask you, can a watch create itself? No. Can a house be without a maker? No. So why would anyone believe that even more complex devices such as cells, organs, and complex life forms come about without a driving and directing force, a grand designer? When one computes the odds of this occurring on its own, the possibility of this happening approaches near impossibility.

Therefore in conclusion, I believe it is only fair that evolutionists apologize to the creationist community for not showing due honor and respect to the grand designer and driving force behind the creation of all known life forms.

And a note to the creationists, you have correctly pointed to the existence of the grand designer, however you seem to have a small problem spelling and pronouncing the creators name.

The name is “Natural Selection”, the most powerful designing force in the universe.
