what gives these duds aren't doing their house to house work properly.
this is twice with in two months that the dubs have pass me by , why?.
i just moved to las vegas this past year no body knows my address or that i was daed or dfed.. it is like there is a sign that says apostate lives here.. what you think?
Hi Rekless. Just a thought, did you ever consider that it could be “the angels” guiding them away from your door? The angels probably never did Jack for you when you were a dub, but you must be very happy now knowing the angels are finally doing something right.
I say support those angels; invest in a big dog and a paintball gun! After all, you can’t expect the angels to do everything for you.

i was once counselled by the elders for watching 'knots landing'....it became widely known in the congregation that me and a few other sisters would rush home from field service to watch our favourite soapie.
if we missed it, we would ring each other up for an update...or...if we weren't near a tv we would ask someone to put the phone handset on the top of their tv so we could hear it...pathetic huh...but that was all the excitement we could scrounge up in our otherwise dull and uneventful lives.
one of the elder's wive's conscience got the better of her...and she confessed to her husband..lol.
I was counseled that my beard had to go because “Christen men don’t wear beards”. I should have ran, I was not even baptized then.
I was counseled that I had to give up an engineering job with a defense contractor because it supported the war effort and “Christians did not do that sort of thing”. I gave that job up and did everything from office cleaning to TV-fix-it man work at much less pay.
I was counseled for seeing an R rated movie, “Blue Lagoon”. The two MS that were with me caught even more flack “because they should have known better”.
When I got the opportunity to work as a highly paid consultant for NASA. One Elder counseled me because, as he put it, “I heard your new job had a connection with high energy physics, and that kind of stuff is hydrogen bomb related isn’t it?” I assured him it wasn’t, it was only pure science.
The fact that this ‘home-schooled’ dub even knew there could be some relationship between bomb building and physics made me think that he must have went to a library just to check up on the type of work I was doing. Unbelievable!
Looking back, I really think there was a bit of resentment going on in their heads, I think these guys were actually jealous.
A few months later came the next and final wise counsel. This time it came in the form of an ultimatum. Because I had to travel quite a bit, I missed some meetings. They told me point blank, I had to make a choice, the meetings or NASA.
So there it was, laid out before me. Yes I was stupid and gullible enough to let them screw me out of my engineering job but I wasn’t about to let them screw me out of my new consulting job. So I made the choice to support my family the best way I knew how, and I’ve never felt one bit of regret since.
I would say it was there idiotic counsel that was responsible for putting me on the road to finding out the truth about the truth. Truly wise counsel indeed.

this is my very first post on this site and i am happy to be here.
i would like to rely a little experience to everyone.
recently, i went back to the kingdom hall after an absence of almost thirteen years.
Dutchy,
Welcome to the board.
I’m afraid this is one of the rare times I find myself in full agreement with the Elders. Your daughter is an obvious distraction and should not come to the meetings dressed the way she is. And further, it is your responsibility to insure she never does this wicked thing again.
The obvious solution is that she should remain home from the meeting. Sorry, but it must be done. And you better stay home too and make sure she is not sneaking off to the hall when you are not looking.
Follow the direction of the Elders, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE HALL!

has anyone thought of running for office on a ex-jw platform?.
would certainly help to spread the apostate message.. can' think of any bright ideas.. any other ideas, folk
If you really want to embarrass the WT, just put some of their own words on a bumper sticker or other publicly viewable signs. And of course don’t forget to give them full credit. “thinking persons would rather have smallpox...”, “there is no such thing as germs...”, “millions now living will never die... etc.

my son had a talk last night, so i had the priviledge of trudging off to another meeting.
the bible section being considered at the present time is isaiah 19-26. much to my surprize, i learned that the society is prefigured in at least two places in these few chapters.
they consider themselves the "watchman" class, as well as the "eliakim" class, with the poor old clergy of christendom relegated to the mere "shebna" class.. this correspondance of the society to virtually everything in the bible is getting sickening already.
Runningman, Glad to hear the meetings are important to you, the meetings are also just as meaningful to me. Like Noah, I too walk the dog (LOL).
Last night my wife was feeling ill and also feeling pressured as she was running out of time. I told her to take it easy and relax but she would hear none of it. Oh no, she just had to attend the meeting last night, no matter what.
Being coerced to attend meetings when health or other reasons made it unwise is what eventually helped me break free from the control of the Borg. I my case the Elders wanted me to give up my high paying NASA job to go back to being a TV fixit-man or a janitor as the NASA job made me miss a few meetings now and then. That was the straw that broke the camels back for me. Unfortunately my dear wife is still under their spell, and I am at a loss as to how I can help her. I only hope she will at some point say enough! Until then, she will move heaven and earth to insure she doesn’t miss a word from the "watchman" class or the "Eliakim" class, even if it kills her. So sad, such a waste. I liked your post, thank you.

Oh yes the famous and much feared Focus, so we meet again.
Are you here to do battle my friend? Can I call you friend, or are you so ‘focused’ on the battle that you have necessarily demonized me in your mind already? Just as an aside, why is it that some here on this DB are afraid of you, and is that a good thing?
Focus, you are a smart chap; I believe I’ve told you this before. What I failed to tell you is that you’re also a bit of a pompous ass, or more precisely a bully. I don’t like engaging in personal attacks, it’s not my nature at all, but since you are rattling your saber in my direction once again, I feel at least some proportional response is necessary.
The last time I responded to such attacks by bullies was when a friend needed and asked for my help. I helped this friend defend her master’s thesis. The poor girl (shy and easily intimidated) was required to go before this wolf pack of professors for no less then a third time! Before her last appearance before this tribunal, I coached her and devised a strategy that included putting these learned men in their place, and it worked. She now has her masters.
Do you see the point I am making by sharing this experience of my friend? Her professors just needed a little reality check, they needed a little humbling. It seems to me, maybe you do too.
Unfortunately Focus, I am not equal to the task of humbling you. No person on this DB is. Not that I couldn’t put up a pretty good fight if I had sufficient motive, but I don’t. To me it’s a lose – lose situation. What would I gain if I kicked your ass? Nothing. What would you gain if you kicked my ass? Reinforcement of your delusion that you are somehow superior.
Repeat these words over and over; “Everyone is superior to me in that I may learn from them” “I can learn from everyone” “ I am better then nobody”. Keep saying it like a mantra over and over, and while you are at it, take a clue from other posters such as Allen F. His posts are factual, informative, insightful, and well presented, just like so many of yours. However he brings to his posts and his interaction with others SOMETHING MANY SEE MISSING IN YOU, humility and expressions of human compassion.
I’m sure it’s down inside of you somewhere Focus, just please let it out more often.

Hello again, it seems I’m breaking my own promise of not posting on this thread again, but so be it. Through my own ineptness with language skills it seems I have given some of you the wrong impression and I wish to correct that right now. Do you feel that the phrase “America right or wrong” sums up my thinking?
If you answered in the affirmative, you are quite wrong. I would say I agree with about 80% of the criticism directed toward my country on this thread.
That said; you should know that we here in America are a bit sensitive these days; some of us believe we are fighting for our very survival. Many of us expect a much more devastating attack then 9-11, possibly quite soon.
Some have complained about one or more aspects of our new President, and rightfully so as he has and will continue to make mistakes both in foreign and domestic policy. However, I do take exception when I hear personal attacks on our president that portray him as some kind of imbecile. I hear that that quite a bit both from our friends across the sea and here in the USA. Everyone is certainly entitled to you own opinions but for myself, I have a hard time not giving him some amount of credit for the leadership he has shown thus far.
Not that it matters to many of you but the man is college educated, holds multiple degrees from both Yale and Harvard, is a self made millionaire, and had the foresight to surround himself with brilliant people, all experts in their respective fields. Not bad going for an idiot, wouldn’t you say?
Then there is the assertion that America only gets involved when it is in our interest or when we were attacked, such as during World War II. How little some seem to know about this period of history.
I wish I could change that, and I have a few suggestions that might help:
Read more books, watch some videos, get more educated or ask someone that lived through it.
Learn about lend-lease.
Learn about the millions and millions of dollars America pumped into Europe LONG BEFORE Pearl Harbor, long before we ever declared war.
Learn about our soldiers that died delivering planes to Europe as your supplies were being depleted.
Learn about our merchant marines that risked life and limb sneaking ammunition and supplies to you at a time when it was still 100% YOUR WAR.
Learn about the very risky oil embargo we engaged in so as to choke off supplies to Axis powers to help our friends, knowing full well this bold move could get us into the war. You know the price we paid for that bold move don’t you? It was called Pearl Harbor, just in case you didn’t know.
We knew all the risky things we were doing on your behalf could lead us into war, YOUR WAR, but we felt that a free Europe was something worth taking that risk for.
Yes we sure were selfish bustards back then, we wanted a world free from the likes of Hitler and his cheesy mustache, and you know what? We still do. That is why we impose our will on other people, that is why we dispose of Hitler types even now when we feel we must. We are a good hearted people, some would say a stupid people. Considering that we could take with force almost anything from any nation on the planet and we don’t, tyrants are baffled. But we are not tyrants and so we don’t.
Do I expect Europeans to fall down at our feet because of what we have done for them in the past AND WHAT WE CONTINUE TO DO FOR THEM even now? No. That would be out of character. We want you to disagree with us from time to time, we want you to be free and remain free to do just that. If we overstep our bounds, feel free to call us on the carpet.
One last final thing and I say this without apology or hesitation to anyone: To those and ONLY those persons FOREIGN or DOMESTIC that would spit on the sacrifices made by this country so you can live in freedom; FUCK YOU!
To all others: Good day

Sorry to interrupt your America-Bashing-Party a second time but once again I find myself compelled to speak out. Communicating via this medium has its disadvantages; one such disadvantage is not being able to know the age of your audience.
It’s quite obvious few if any of you were even alive during the period of time I was talking about. How stupid of me not to realize that to you, the significance of the gift America gave to so many European countries and in fact the whole world is relegated to something that you perhaps read in a history book. How could you possibly be expected to have any appreciation, it is after all just some obscure history.
I apologize for forgetting that you could not possibly comprehend what it was like, standing on the very soil some of you now call home and fighting to preserve your parents and grandparents freedom. You of course inherited that freedom, but that’s water under the bridge as they say.
Maybe one of you could do me two small favors. Do you think you could?
Request #1 If by chance your parents or grandparents are still alive, please ask them about the big party they gave us Yanks at the end of the war. And after they tell you about that, please tell them that America will never forget their hospitability and gratefulness, and that is why we will always be there for them and even their snotty little kid’s generations later.
Request #2 If by chance you happen to come upon some graves of one or more of the thousands and thousands of American solider buried on your soil, please don’t piss on them. Thank you; that’s all I ask.
PS: I promise I won’t interrupt you America-Bashing-Party again so feel free to continue unabated.

possession!.
has anyone here had any experience with the power of pyramids?
you know, sharpened razor blades by putting them under a pyramid, etc?.
A pyramid can be a powerful thing, never underestimate it’s power to control. Remember not that long ago a man who was intrigued by pyramids became the founder of a sect that has come to ruin millions and millions of lives. Now he is dead and buried with a pyramid near his grave, but the power of this pyramid lives on and continues to entrap millions to this very day, including my own family. So don’t tell me pyramids don’t have power; one still has my wife and kids in its clutches.
