Yes! Thanks for bringing that up. I also thought about that. They would say that in the end, just before Armageddon, everyone who could have been found would have been found, and no more would be able to be converted, so Jehovah could then start Armageddon. Well - there were several people in biblical times who grew up among 'heathens', and still became 'men of God'. Is it completely impossible that that may happen again? In my opinion, there would always be new potential witnesses as long as people give birth. That's how I thought when I still believed in this but had started to question things (and, to make it clear yet again; I don't believe it anymore).

yep! when i thought about similar things i came to the following conclusion: the more gods waits the more ppl will be killed. why? because the worldwide population growth is MUCH bigger than jw's growth. There are currently 6.5 million JWs worldwide. The increase rate is <2%. Thats max. 130,000 more JWs per year. According to wikipedia the world population increases by 203,800 PER DAY!

Thats 130,000 / 365 = 356 JWs per day... 203,800 - 356 = 203,444 more cadavers PER DAY

How Much and for How Long Did You Love Being In The 'Truth'?

reading tijkmoo's original post about his experience (well worth a read all you newbies...) it made me think back to my experience of being a witness.

up until 4 months ago i had spent my whole life loving being a witness (apart from twinges of discontent when a young girl being left out of attending friends birthday parties) and was a faithful sister who pioneered when possible and was a member of the quickbuild team in my single days.

i felt it was the truth and there was no where else to go.

how long: around 12 years... when counted from the first time i was old enough to actually believe it (its 12 to me. before i think it was more following my parents, until i found out that i need to choose myself)

i once brought up the fact to my jw that jw's were not allowed to get together informally to do any kind of 'bible' studies without the approval of the elders, gb, etc.. he said that was totally ridiculous and false, more apostate lies.

this was long ago now and i'm not sure he even remembers saying it.

lately i have been re-researching some things i learned as i was leaving the borg.

for lurkers and newbies, i thought i would share this with you.. apparently long before the flood of noah, was a story told and recorded on 12 clay tablets, of a flood so simular to noahs that it will be shocking to you if you have never read about it.

but how do you know the gilgamesh epos was written BEFORE the bible flood? in my languages wikipedia it says the epos is from 1200 BC which is at least 1000 years AFTER the flood. it could be just a altered version of the original flood from the bible...

thats a great topic i think... the whole flood thing.

in my opinion there is no chance that no flood occured. it may not be a worldwide flood or something. but something occured. there are hundreds of flood myths all around the world. and it happened in somewhere near 4000 years in the past from now.

so what was it?

one of may mind constructs too. lol :-) in jw belief this would really work. and if you didnt know: suicide and murder are no sins who do not allow a resurrection. its old light to say suiciders are not resurrected. of course the society would advertise this :P as long as i know...

My Website(s) - thoughts?

i originally owned just one website with a few friends called winxperts but recently we've started to branch out in the hope of getting more hits, more content and more people around.. we decided to buy http://www.thetechcommunity.net and make that a head network site which will eventually give a description on all our sites, will provide updates on site status, latest staff positions (volunteer basis of course) and latest content.. your thoughts?.

nothing is really finished, its all works in progress.

we own more domains we intend to give links to from that page too when they are developed.. .

i feel that the congregation soften up atm regarding such things. my congregation has a brother with a shaved head and beard too (wouldnt perform on the show "top of the dubs" though)...

and MS's and Elders let their beards grow too. there has been a lot discussion lately and a elder voting... and now they are allowed to wear'em

i know there are some about, but i just can't find them at the moment.

not e-watchman: i mean like loyal witness boards.

i dont believe in pro-witness boards.

- witnesses arent allowed to setup them
- if they do nevertheless they arent really loyal anymore (it automatically gets the apostate-feeling)
- even if they try to create a loyal forum its almost impossible. forums are DISCUSSION boards. there cant be discussion without different opinions. different opinions means there must be opinions which differ from WTS teaching. and that makes the board in jw terms a apostate board (dirty liars who serve their god satan)

on boards even the most loyal dub maybe expresses doubts or asks questions. so are those who answer.

internet is apostate. nobody cant do anything about it. its free information and free thinking. its completely anti JW.
