Isn't This an Incredible Design?

the flower is wonderful and incredibly beautiful... but...

what are the chances that some of thousands and thousands plants may look like a animal to the human brain? i think the chances are high! why?

because of the pure quantity of plants and the incredible ability of the brain to see shapes in anything.

never watched clouds or a speckled carpet? when i was a kid i saw ALL things in those. when i look at my wooden ceiling right now i can see faces and whole animals. in germany there is a tradition where ppl melt lead on new years eve and throw it into cold water as a part of fortune telling. because the resulting figures often look like "something". sometimes even humans, animals, stuff.

all of that is completely random but the human eye is astonished by it looks and often thinks there is more to it... i think this and the brains inabilty to distinguish between reality and dream is the source of a great deal of religions and stuff.

if you watch it closely the parrot flower doenst look like a bird at all (wrong colors, beak is wrong, wings are wrong, no feet, tail is wrong, its even hollow... looks a lot more like a orchid than like a bird). its our imagination which tells us its shaped like a bird.

i dont wanna say its 100% no design... but its also not as much as some ppl want to put in it.if it was many other damn ugly critters with limbs they dont need and other crazy stuff would 100% prove there is no designer.

its not that easy. sorry, for being critical in this thread. its really a wonderful flower :-) please forgive me.

Will this blow up in their faces?

will the child abuse situation blow up in the society's faces?.

how world wide do you think its effects will be and when?.

i am only interested to know because if i share with other witnesses i'd like to know how much they will of heard and how much it'll matter, at the moment it seems its not recieved as much media attention as he catholic church for example, will this change?.

its a beast. is will not die suddenly but fade away.

the numbers will start to decrease (what slows down the decrease in the same second since to many jws it will mean that end is NEAR™), but it will continue and around the end of this or the next century it may will be so small that noone notices it anymore.

i dont believe something will change. it will stay merely the same. some individuals will leave the org.

most jws will never know what happened and the rest think its lies from the devil (ya know, satans lies can perfectly look like truth) or gods way of throwing the pedophiles out (he makes it stricter now).

that the way the spirit guided GB does its job CREATED the problem and that they try to cover up will never jump into their minds.

thats jw thinking and i perfectly understand how to think this way... even they i dont understand it lol

there are so many ways to get into this topic; homeopathy, astrology, feng shui, alien abductions, seances and so on ad nauseum but let's pick a simple one - mathematics.

do you accept the undeniable logic that 1+1 must always equal 2?.

i cannot conceive of a situation where 1+1=3 but there was a time when i did!

when jesus fed the hungry he didnt an unlogical thing. it was a wonder. a wonder is something someone doesnt understand, it doesnt make it unlogical.

god probably "created" bread out of pure energy through jesus on that occasion. so everythings fine. mathematics still work. 1+1+1=3

thats how i saw it.

the only thing i wondered is: wasnt creation finished long before? or did he beam bread from somewhere else in the world to jesus (would make god a thief lol - despite the fact he owns everything).

the world of the oceans is facinating, so many things i have never seen or imagined.

I'll bet staying well hydrated is one of his secrets to a youthful appearance.
You're overlooking the "day for a year" principle. Thus we have 7 x 360 = 2,520 years. paradoxically, it appears Jehovah was born some 3,480 years after he created Adam, who lives one block down and around the corner.

you forgot that a thousand years is only a day for jehovah. so 2520 "jehovah years" are 2520*360 = 907200 "jehovah days" which equal to 907200*1000 = 907,200,000 human years.

makes sense!

edit: i forgot the propheting year with 360days/year... i corrected it...

Remember the Movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark"...

... towards the end when the bad guys opened the ark and indiana and his lady were tied to the pole, the spiritual unleashing that came out and killed, no, melted all the bad guys?

i was probably 9 or 10 when that movie came out and it literally scared the cheese out of me in the theater.

i was so glad to be a jw at the time because i felt like i just witnessed the power of god and saw what was going to happen to opposers when judgment day came.

I guess, my favorite scene in that movie is the one where Indy is fightin the 'bad guys', and one pops up who is HUGE! He then goes about twirling his large-bladed knife - letting Indy know that he was a force to be reckoned with.
Indy's response? He kinda shrugs, then unholster's his gun and shoots the fella. Dead on the spot. That sorta said heaps - without saying much.

that scene wasnt scripted by the way. harrison did this as a joke while shooting and they found it good and shot it again (with the bad guy falling). in the script he wouldve fight the guy.

ok, so i realize we all are causing global warming, etc., etc.

i was thinking how interesting it is that jws will beif theyre not alreadyranting on about mans destruction of earth being the fulfillment of prophecy, blahbety blah blah, all the while they are contributing in a hearty way to the problem.

if man is so evil and godless for destroying the earth, what does that make the dubs?

What about "Jehovah bring to ruin those ruining the earth" does that not apply to dubs?

of course not! the dubs are the good ones and their way to "ruin the earth" is good because its part of spreading the message (at least some percent of the ruining)...

its completely unlogical, but hey... ive never seen something else in JW land...

what the funny thing is:

ive never understoof why this scripture has ANYTHING to do with pollution and global warming. the context doesnt imply it and its way more possible that "ruining the earth" doesnt mean destroying the planet but peaceful society (violence, immoral, stuff)... that would be something john knew from his time and would fit very well.

when you go to the cinema and someone next to you tells you the next scene ahead and the ending at the beginning of the movie he will "ruin" the movie... but that doesnt mean he goes up take the movie and shred it into pieces.

but of course only jesus mouth piece the WTS knows what it means... and john meant global warming... sure...
