Saying Goodbye and The Celestine Prophecy
by safe4kids innope, not to to the board but to stuff i've needed to let go!
anyone who has dealt with depression and the internal effects of sustained negative emotions will understand this, i think.
its been a rough year, for many reasons, and i apologize to those whom ive not had the energy and emotional wherewithal to support.

Hey Dana,
Isn't life-long learning great? I'm proud of you for being who you are. It has been way too long since I've seen you. I am looking forward to seeing you at the Int'l Apostofest in April.
Take care and I'll talk to you soon.

Hi Gang!
I just wanted to add my thanks to everyone for all your kind words.
I just read this thread, as well as Tracy's post. Oh man... I got tears in my eyes from that one!
Tracy wrote: "Someone who sees all of me, the good and the bad, and still thinks the good outweighs the bad."
I just have one question: "What bad?" If you've got any "bad" in you, I still have yet to see it!
Yesterday (Saturday 12-21) we spent the day together. Over lunch, Tracy and I spoke of what had changed over the past 3 years. We both agreed that we have grown very much... in many ways.
I have been able to get over my existential issues, and have made my peace with the universe. I am also seeing my dream of speaking and writing coming true. Tracy has really blossomed in her belief in herself, even though she was very self-confident before. She is pursuing her own professional training, and along with it, the ability to earn more of what she is worth (although she is priceless).
I truly believe that there are few relationships such as ours. We have quite literally never fought... we have disagreed at times, but that is our agreement--to disagree occasionally.
Our friendship is based on mutual respect, acceptance, and interdependence. Neither of us "need" the other to survive, but we have made the choice to be with each other because we "want" to.
I can say one thing with the utmost conviction: I am far better with Tracy in my life than without.
Dana, I couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law! But you are more than that... you are more like a sister to me. I am so thankful that you are in Michael's (my son for those who don't know) and my life. He misses his dub extended family, but knows that they will never accept him now that he is not a dub. You have filled in some of that void in him. For this, I cannot thank you enough.
Thanks again everyone!

Happy Holidays,old friends!(From Essie)
by Primadonna ini'm just 'stopping by briefly' lol to wish happy holidays to old friends who may still be posting/lurking here...so many of you come to my mind on a regular basis, things you've said long ago continue to return to me when i need them and keep me going in a strong, forward direction.
my family continues to be amazed by the fact that four and a half years after my df'ing, i still haven't caved in and gone back.
for me, there is no going back.

Essie! It is good to hear from you! I've wondered how you were, and should have e-mailed you.
I love what you wrote! It makes a lot of sense. You're such a sweetheart!
I wish you my very best!
