most of you are ex-dubs, so what if world events proved that the jw's were right.
for instance, governments turning on religion, matthew 24th chapt events really increasing at an alarming rate, enough to make you think: " maybe they were right?
" if that happened, and the wts left the "door on the ark", so to speak, open for a little while, would you go back to the wts?
For me, it is not about whether the WTS is right or wrong. It is about whether god (lower case intentional) is right or wrong. I believe that the god of the bible is absolutely insane and guilty for crimes against humanity. If it turned out he is right (and real), then I would go down flipping him off saying f**k you, laughing all the way to the end.

today we had a nice road trip and visited two cemeteries where grandparents and aunts and uncles are buried.
we usually make the yearly trek on memorial weekend but this year we helped my son move and were out of town.
it's an upbeat day.

from the perspective of this imperfect world, seeing something perfect would seem quite amazing.
such as the omega particle or whatever it was called in star trek.. but what if you lived in a world (or heaven for that matter) where everything was so perfect that it was extremely predictable, and there was never any point in trying to improve anything or fight for a cause and everyone always had the perfect answer for you?.
maybe that's why "god" created the universe and maybe the universe is a perfect way of experiencing randomness?
I dropped the old concept of "perfection" when I left the bOrg. I now teach a new concept in my management seminars. Here is my concept:

i have only been a recent user of this site.
the other night i explained what it was i was spending time reading online some evenings when my boyfriend is out and tried to explain how it is helping me finally let go of the jw beliefs that i have clung to for so long.
i thought he would be pleased, but he got really angry and now is very difficult any time i try to use the internet at home.

There are many red flags associated with your boyfriend's behavior. Please do not trade the controlling bOrganization for a controlling, possessive, and jealous boyfriend. This is the kind of behavior that is implied in your post.
A healthy relationship demands that each partner respect the other's freedom and rights.

i think it is one huge myth,,based on a self-biased view.
Here is something I wrote several years ago just after I left the bOrg.
jws are convinced they alone have the truth.
they are scripturally trained to prove to others why they are "in the truth".
from your vantage point, how can you show this is untrue??
Here's a better question: Prove that Jehovah's Witnesses DO have the Truth.
