If I had breasteses, I'd never leave home...
An excellent statement for your 5000th post. It gives me a goal to shoot for.
Congrats, btw.
he told me that the thread he started yesterday tell me what you think of certain posters had been locked because some people though the bantering between he and i was serious.

2 years ago i left jws.
i went to a baptist church because it was what my husband was.
i knew i wanted to go to church but which one i really didn't know yet.. two years later, i think i have made up my mind: presbyterian.. anyone have anything they want to share?
I have found that the United Methodists, Lutherans (ELCA), and Presbyterians are all pretty much in the same frame of thought these days.
At about the same time I got to visit the presby church my boss invited me to a Lutheran church. Also a decent service...until!...they took communion. I had no idea what to do so I froze up in my seat and didn't drink or eat the wine and wafer thingy. I also noticed that my boss crossed himself afterward. When I asked him about it after the service he said, "What? You mean spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch?" (I think I embarassed him, though, by not participating because I wasnt invited back and my career went south with that company, real fast).
Fast forward to '02 and my wife and I attended a wedding at a (huge!) Lutheran church in Denver. The pastor/preacher was female. If we had stayed in CO I could see me going there because that lady knew how to give a sermon and balance it with scripture in a way that I hadn't heard since some really smart jw pioneer sisters I knew.

A family I was close with as a teen used to take me along with them to their presby church. I don't recall anything that was scary or bothersome about the services. You've been to a baptist church so you've probably experienced the most rigid of interpretation that's out there in the church world. Relax and enjoy.
My husband agrees to go with me.
Outstanding.

Purps: lost her first tooth!!!
Now if she can only lose the rest she'll look like most of the populace of Arkansas.
I kid, I kid. She is an adorable young lady, Purp!
i have recently volunteered to make a wedding cake!
i have not made one since i was about 15.....hence, a long time ago!
but i remember being particularly good at the icing bit.
Which is the royal icing anyway - the soft one that covers the cake or the hard icing for decorating it?
oyal Icing is a pure white icing that dries to a smooth, hard, matte finish. Besides its lovely finish it also colors beautifully which makes it a favorite of professionals who use it not only for frosting cakes and cookies, but also for intricate piping of decorations (flowers, borders, and lettering). It is simply a mixture of powdered (icing or confectioners) sugar, lemon juice, and raw egg whites
i was zipping along, driving towards downtown at dusk this evening to pick up the mrs from work.
i was sitting with my niv bible under my left butt cheek (i use it to balance out my 2 1/2 inch wallet in my right back pocket) and flipping channels between the three christian rock channels available trying to find the best christmas music to sing along with.
i happened to look up at our skyline and noticed that the folks at two of the largest and tallest buildings downtown had begun to configure the lights inside for the holidays.
Looks like you better switch cheeks!
Yeah, but that parable was about talents, and I've never been very talented...

The two statements above that were correct were that I was driving last night to pick up my wife and two buildings downtown are decorated with crosses.
I was just having a little fun trying to stir the religious contention pot. I love all JWD people of any or no beliefs equally.
Have a fulfilling Festivus!

They turn out the lights on each floor except for specific ones that they keep on to form two massive crosses. They keep them lit up that way until after the first of the year. I immediately thought of my atheist friends here on JWD and how much they'd enjoy living in OKC during this time of the year. Apparently there are no atheists currently in Oklahoma City.
The largest cross is on the Chase bank formerly BankOne formerly First Interstate formerly First National Bank Okc building. Don't ya'll with a bank account at Chase just get all warm and fuzzy knowing that your money is ensconced in a vault in building with a cross on it?
(The above was posted with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. A couple of the statements are however true, you decide which ones).
i am so glad i don't hear the voice of god iin my head...it's vewwy, vewwy, scawwy !.

I think if God really talked to me, my dad's opinion wouldn't carry much weight!
You gotta remember who we're talking about here. God talks to his dad also. A few years back Oral made public that God had told him that if he didn't raise $8 million for the school, iirc, he was going to be called home to heaven.
what do you like to smell on male/females?.
inquiring minds want to know!!!.
purps.
I like three for women right now Tuscany, Blue and Pure Poison. >Attack mode:ON<
I used to wear cologne quite often Polo, Safari and Jazz when I could find it. (Avishai: Do you have a current source for Jazz?)
But now I just use Axe Touch body wash and call it good.
My Father-in-law uses Drakkar. (I think he drinks it or bathes in it.)
