  it started at christmas.

  my seven year old took one look under the tree chrstmas morning and said, "i heard you guys in here wrapping presents last night.

  so i'm tickled at this story from another site i visit:.

  a story i heard.... one day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me.

  i was maybe 2 1/2 years old and had just recovered from an accident.

  friday 3:30 p.m. i open the door to the kindergarten and the south oklahoma wind blows white pieces of paper attached by tape to each of the lockers at my daughter's school.

  as i walk through the hallway to her classroom she just happens to walk out at the same time on her way to the water fountain.

  she smiled her normal greeting and runs to me,then sees her locker with this new piece of something on it and ran over to it.

  Surely the WT wouldn't LIE about motel/hotel accommodations?!?

  i was eating lunch with 3/4 of my active jw family earlier today and they were bemoaning the idea that they were going to have to leave the central oklahoma area very early tomorrow morning to find a room so they could attend an assembly on the otherside of the state.

  they had tried calling the 'approved' hotels and motels in the town where the assembly is being held and they were all booked.

  so that left them looking at the rest of the approved list and having to travel as much as 50 miles away to get a room.

  great.

  the wall street journal did an article yesterday about a pastor at a baptist church having a woman arrested for trespassing after she had been 'shunned' for spreading 'poison' within the church.

  i was sitting with my to-the-death jw mom eating dinner tonight while watching the show 'dateline' on nbc.

  it was an innocuous little program on happiness.

  the narrator for the story got about 30 seconds into his presentation and mentioned something about the part of the brain that controls our happiness.

  whereas, on or about the night prior to christmas, there did occur at a certain improved piece of property (hereinafter "house" ) a general lack of stirring by all creatures therein, including, but not limited to, a mouse.

  a variety of foot apparel, e.g., stockings, socks, etc., had been affixed by and around the chimney in said house in the hope and/or belief that st. nick a/k/a st. nicholas a/k/a santa claus (hereinafter "claus" ) would arrive sometime thereafter.

  the minor residents, i.e., the children, of the aforementioned house were located in their individual beds and were engaged in nocturnal hallucinations, i.e., dreams, wherein visions of confectionary treats, including, but not limited to, candies, nuts and/or sugar plums, did dance, cavort and otherwise appear in said dreams.. .
