  How was it when you were a JW as a kid?

  whats worse than being an adult jw?

  when i was a kid i always had a bad concience all the time.

  i believed i would not survive armageddon for the fact that i didn't like going to service and i didnt like going to the meetings.

  JW kids are alienated from a very early age by having to sit through interminable meetings about 'types & antitypes' or the 'Bablyon the Great' book that even adult JW's struggled with.

  Or the Ezekiel book about a mad old man that had to lay on his right side in the dust for so long & then on his left for so long & then God told to him to make models out of his poo ( as a teenager I found that funny & confirmed my growing ideas that God was weird).

  The borg has really missed a trick by not having a separate program for children.

  Don't get me started about 8 day assemblies.........

  being ever ready to note information that demonstrates christian idiocy in general and jw idiocy in particular, i was interested in news of this particular research that has been doing the rounds of science oriented news sources this week.. christianity in general and jwism in particular, have viciously persecuted same sex attracted people, thus demonstrating their peculiar hypocrisy.

  most christians (the jw brand and other brands) squeal like a speared pig when they suffer any treatment that they call persecution, but are always willing to persecute same sex attracted people (and anyone else that stands outside their narrow-minded vision of the world).. most same sex attracted people will testify that their romantic attraction to the same sex was not a clear cut choice, but was something they grew up with.

  (gay by nature).

  he was very very strange.

  he was a nice guy but goofy.

  I used to curl up with embarrassment in densely populated areas when the other JW's congregated together & laughed loudly about the householders they had just called on & what they had said.

  I knew something was wrong with the JW/WT many years before I finally got out.

  here tony explains that the decisions of the faithful slave are arrived at "collectively" but are not a "collection" of man made decisions.

  one of the things that gave me confidence in life was that i believed i had the almighty creator/god watching over me, directing me, guiding my every step, protecting me from harm, and answering my prayers.

  i now know that is not the case anymore.

  i finally stopped praying.

  I would like to see Angus Stewart quiz Jehovah god about his role in the child abuse scandal.

  I would want to ask God "Didn't your son say 'Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'

  Didn't he also say "What is the price of two sparrows--one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows"

  In view of what your 'son' said how can you claim you did not know the abuse was happening?
  

  Why then God didn't you answer the desperate cries for help from the small children as their abusers ripped their little vaginas?

  Did you decide their faith was not 'as large as a mustard seed'& therefore decided to let the abuser satisfy their dreadful cravings?

  What would you think of a man or woman that was present when an act of child abuse took place but did nothing to prevent it?

  Would you not view them as culpable?

  That's what I would ask Jehovah God.
