Whats Wrong With the JW doctrines

i just unfortunately came back from the jw convention and ive only heard their side of the story i know that they use mind control tactics but i need to know what is wrong with there doctrines biblically.

i took a king james bible and seemed like what the were saying about the bible was true.

im never going to try going back to that religion again but i need to know that the only thing wrong with their religion isnt the mind control tactics they use.

Imagine if John the Baptist had lost his head a JW wedding in a Kingdumb Hall in Jerusalem !

No more celebrating of weddings......no more meetings.......no more weddings........no more kids.......no more Brooklyn Boyz.

There is no Biblical reason for not celebrating ones birthday regardless of the above argument. If John the Baptist drowned after he baptised Jesus where would the Brooklyn Boyz get their newly washed brothers and sisters?

If he had got run over and killed with a chariot wheel there would be many foot sore person knocking your door after having spent the last year walking from Brooklyn.

That is one prediction that the Brooklyn Curia got absolutely spot on.

They did not have to manipulate the Bible or historical records to put a date on this one.

They are in the time of their end and will face great tribulation when their victims and the courts are finished with them. Could it have been the fact that the Catholic Church had to pay out millions of Dollars and Euro in well documented abuse cases and the Brooklyn Boyz saw where the train was heading next that caused them to review what God had to say on the matter? The issue in the various civil law cases was guilty knowledge and subsequent inactivity on behalf of the victims by reporting the matters to the legal secular authorities. Was this how their financial and arse covering conscience got pricked ?

Monetary compensation will not make a difference to the victims of abuse by the various organisations who ignored their civic duty victim in the long term, but it will curtail the activities of the abusers and those who created and maintained the shield of silence to protect criminals.

I think the issue here is the fact that abuse was committed, documented and reported internally within the organisation after complaints had been received. The Brooklyn Curia decided that those who are legally charged with investigating and prosecuting offenders were not informed. Those high minded self appointed ambassadors of all that is good and holy covered up the crime by failing to inform the proper authorities e.g. the police etc.

The God Squad on earth have no role in investigating crimes that they have committed or are aware of. Where a complaint has been made to the police or social services, they alone will investigate to see if there is prima facie evidence ( Corroborrative and Forensic) to sustain a prosecution. A judge or jury will decide on the evidence if a conviction is warranted. The Curia in Brooklyn do not have a dedicated trained Sexual Assault or Crime Scene Investigation branch that I am aware of.

Perhaps the Scholar could enlighten me as to who these Celebrated Experts that made criminal investigations and decisions on behalf of sexually abused children were/are.

If you tolerate this then your children, grandchilden could be next. Keep with the issue not the editorial.

Problem ? I believe Criminal Cover Up or Felony are the words you are looking for.

I do not profess to know what the law states in various jurisdictions regarding commission of a felony. I do know that where a person is aware of a felony having taken place or is about to take place they themselves can be charged with a criminal offence if they fail to report it to the proper authorities.

I hope that you do not support, apologise for and ignore criminal wrongdoing by any one, especially those that prey on children. Do you?

Celebrated WT scholars/experts/authors ? Where is this going to end bearing in mind that most experts require a university education and the degree to prove it. A rare commodity in pre 1975 JW land. Rarer than rocking horse sh!te ! C'mon now !

I was recently talking to a world renowned bar fly who is an expert in the Church of Regurgitated Guinness ( formerly Scotch Spirit Branch ) and he told me "this is a pissing contest my friend, pass no heed on anyone who can't be quoted or talks through their arse". I am sure that there is independant written proof some where to prove what Scholar asserts is true regarding his celebrated anonymous experts.

I feel sorry for you in a christian, empathetic sort of way. I remember blindly making the same arguement regarding one of the celebrated author/translators of the NW translation of the bible when old Knorr soup and his mates were called into question by a genuine anchient greek scholar in my presence. My face burns red all these years later when I think of the idiotic reasoning I put forward in their defence.

I am holding my breath at the moment. I need to know who the current batch of celebrated experts are, so hurry up and don't try to make me laugh with your circular reasoning.

Render unto Caesar that which is Caesars.

Would that include obeying the laws and regulations of various countries regarding child abuse in particular ? When various child abuse scandals were reported in the WT (Canada, Ireland and the U.S.) the organisation took a high moral stance regarding these crimes.

What is criminally obscene is the fact that the same procedures adopted by other branches of religion resulting in cover ups and further abuse were actively practiced by the Curia in Brooklyn. There was and is no difference with this branch appart from its address.

Those who profess to believe nothing ....... usually will believe anything that they are told. When commercial religions grasped hold of this marketing concept, they began and continue to milk it for every cent (U.S. and E.U.) Humans have a need to belong to a group of like minded humans. Some realise that all is not rosy in the garden but keep their heads down and plough on with their own agenda. The dumb ones are blinded by the light and could not see, never mind hit an elephant on the arse with a banjo! The most brilliant expose on this subject was The Life of Brian. After watching it I began to confirm the doubts I had and justify the decisions that I had made. I do not judge any human being by rules prepared by humans.

The really dumb ones are those that profess to be more intelligent than the others. They are easily recogniseable by their position at the front of the line, microphone, photograph and organisation !

Who cares whether they do or not ? Can you prove that it rained last year, on a Tuesday, in The Grand Canyon or whether someone urinated in the Atlantic Ocean ? It is abundantly clear that there are those present on this forum who will gladly do the work for them. One does not have to be a brain surgeon to print off pages and supply them in hard form.

I have a feeling from my short time here that if any of the GB stopped suddenly, there would be one or two persons from this forum up to their shoulders in their anal cavity !

No need to wipe when a willing tongue is available to keep it clean !

now, i don't know if this has been discussed before, but, with reguard to 1914. let's pretend this prophecy is true.

There is no truthful answer that an official organisation information disseminator could truthfully give that would support the position of the organisation concerned. The difficulty with your argument is that many other dates came and passed prior to 1914. Nothing of note happened on these prior dates. despite the best efforts of the organisation/business. One would have to trawl through many old peoples homes at this stage to find those who witnessed 1914 before they pass away.

One more prophecy that failed.

It was proposed at one stage to move 1914 to 1957 to keep the failure alive. Even the Gullible Body could not swallow that one. If one keeps shifting the goalposts eventually the ball will hit the target. Dont forget that the world renowned spiritualist and follower of pyramid power C.T. Russell based his predictions on the egyptian pyramids. His gravestone was a pyramid with a good old cross enscribed thereon. How the times have changed with all the light that now shines on this murky corner of N.Y.
