hey everyone, i'm living in st kitt's and recently got disfellowshipped and also asked to be withdrawn as a member of the watchtower bible and tract society.

as all witnesses know, this is a serious and often challenging thing to do, to stand up for your faith and belief that jehovahs people and organisation need to be clean.. i've made that stand, i've made it clear to the missionary elder here; "my concience will not allow me to associate with an organisation that was affiliated with a political organisation, or one that promotes govermental propoganda above jehovahs own word and message.

The whole UN and WTBS affair stinks, the bible seems to be double prophesying too. In other words, read the prophecy in Mathew 24 the prophecy in Daniel 11 and 12 (placing the KN as USA and the KS as Middle east (Muslim) etc) and read Revelation in the bible for yourself. In all these readings, make sure to put Jehovahs earthly organisation in place of Christendom or Babylon (these both represent lies and fornication and bad things). You will be surprised and amazed at what you are reading. All the prophecies of the last days firstly point to Jehovahs house (which has elevated itself above all other religions and used Gods name in it's title).
The first punishment is toward Jehovahs own earthly house... But read for yourself...

I just thought this was such a good post it should be brought forward again.

I wonder if the federal Privacy Act(s) would make it possible for us to order those files destroyed or, at least, given to the person they malign.

has anyone tried any type of lawsuit to get access to their records?

people! People! people! I keep telling y'all over and over! The act of separation of church and state prevents you from having any recourse whatsoever!!! It's in the first amendment.

And now that you have discussed this on the internet, where the bethel spies are sure to be reading.....my advice is that you better act very quickly if you are going to do something! They will be transferring the files to CD's and sending back up copies to bethel.

The scenario I see is that information may eventually be given (via internet) on a program as to WHY apostates were df'd. They could tell your crime. Just like a "most wanted apostate site". Anything to discredit you, should the R & F choose to explore the web. Or maybe they would have it on thier exclusive website where you have to be given approval at the hall to get into website. In case you don't know that already exists with "virtual kingdom hall". (See Taitina's post.)

That would serve a two fold purpose. The rest would stay in for fear of being blackmailed.

Then, later after it could possibly be proven to be illegal to publicize your sexual exploits, the damage would have already been done and the sheeple are still living in fear

better get used to it. There are plans in the works since last year to open the borders between usa and canada and mexico. USA is about to loose its soverignty. North America is following suit with europe in establishing a larger body union. One world gov. will be much easier when continents are already one big chunk.

The new money currency will be called Amero instead of dollars.

Are police even allowed into churches with their guns on?

Isn't the chruch supposed to be considered a place of refuge?

In ages past, haven't fugitives gone to the church for hiding and refuge, so they could not be apprehended by government?

So how could police intervene without crossing the line of the separation of church and state?

Wouldn't police merely consider the brawl a "church function" and not intefere?

I read something like this in Ann Landers advice column many years ago. I was probably 12. When I would get mad, I would grab an egg and go outside. I would go for a long walk while I squeezed on the egg. The walk and the activity of directing my anger and energy onto the egg eventually helped me to calm down. Usually on the way back home, I would throw the egg at a tree and break it, thus a symbolic releasing of the tension. Here's the trick:

Ingredients:

- An uncooked unpeeled egg

The Recipe:

1) Challenge some one to break an egg in the palm of their hand. Bet them that they can't do it by squeezing the egg with their palm and fingers.

2) Place the egg in their hand.

3) Have them slowly curl their fingers around the egg and start squeezing.

Food for Thought:

By wrapping your fingers around the egg, pressure is evenly distributed throughout the shell. Eggshells are incredibly strong for their weight. The spherical shape of the eggshell maximizes strength with a minimum of shell material.

Option:
If you want to break the egg, you'll need a ring.

If you or some one else is wearing a ring (like a wedding ring) on your finger, squeeze the egg like above. The small contact where the hard metal ring and shell meet is an area of significantly higher pressure. This uneven distribution of pressure will vary likely cause the eggshell to crack. Once a crack forms, that's it!

Jgnat, My mother always taught me that you never go empty handed to visit someone. Now, I know he's not empty handed cause he's got the rags...but he also said he wanted to be memorable. My suggestion....take maybe some candy bars. A presentation something like...

I would like for you to enjoy this Mr. Goodbar while you have the chance, because after Armageddon...there probably won't be anymore.

There won't be anyone to run the factories because we will all be out picking fruit.

Fruit will be the new candy. It's healthier and we will all learn to like it.

Oh, and by the way...did you know Armageddon is coming soon?

FORGIVENESS

are you obligated to forgive someone.

......if they do not ask for forgiveness.

......if they show no remorse for the transgression.

These are very good answers and I thank you all for responding. Your answers should not be geared wondering whether I am a christian. Your answers should be from your own point of view...whether it is from any other philosophy or religion or non-religion.

I was a JW, because they preach God does not forgive unrepentant ones

times where it is appropriate to forgive someone even if they do not seek it

But, there are blatantly unforgivable offenses

Would this indicate that we should use discernment and judge what kind of transgression it is? How do you make that judgement? By the number of people the transgression affects? Or that the course of one's whole life is dramatically altered by the transgression?

Is it God alone who is permitted not to forgive? If we are in his image, and that includes the emotional ranges, then if he finds certain offenses UNFORGIVABLE, how are we expected to be better than God and forgive all?

isn't this the saddest little face?

this is my 16-year-old cat lily - the new kitten popped her in the eye and she got an infection.

she won't leave it alone so the vet sewed her eye shut with med inside, and put the cone on her so she can't take the stitches out by herself.

Hortensia, so sorry about kitty, but you are a very good nurse.

My kitty bites my feet (not hard--just a "letting you know I'm here and hungry") when he wants to be fed.

He will only eat one kind of cat food.

If I feed him anything different he will shake his paw, hold out as long as he can....then go catch a rabbit (he eats the whole thing) or nibble at the dog food..which gets the jealous dog upset.

My cat was given to me before he was weaned. Girl brought him over and had a dish of ham in 1 inch chunks and said..."I don't know what's wrong with this kitten. He won't eat." well, duh. He barely had his eyes open. I tried to explain to her what to do, but she just wasn't interested if cat couldn't just be fed table scraps. She had no time for it.

I fed kitty with nursing bottle... and to this day...almost 3 years later...kitty crawls in my lap and sucks his foot to fall asleep.
