There is a scripture that says you should not tempt God.
I think it would apply in the case of snake handling.
much of the same logic and reasoning is done with those that practice snake handling as those that practice no blood transfusion........you might find these articles interesting.. .
snake handling is a religious practice that is outlawed in some us states.
maybe some day blood transfusions will be looked at the same way.

this is an elaboration of a comment i made on gills post about the demise of jw's as the years pass.
gill suggested that humans have survived turmoil in the past.
but our world is different.
The people who know their God implies an organization of people
very close in their worship of their God.
whose "implication" is this? Is this your determination or can you give a scripture that actually says so.
If Jah searches the heart and if that is true, then those who are "under God's protective tent" would be individuals of his choosing.
An entire collective body of an organization may not meet Jah's criteria. It says this salvation is given as his pleasure. Do people actually think Jah owes them for the time turned in on cards?
very close in their worship of their God.
I think many people here have seen that this is not a true worship of God in this religion. That is why they leave in the first place. This entity organization of wbts is a false religion that will fall like all the rest. It is man made rules and regs. Not God-made. Not truth.
I suggest keeping your options open. If something resembling the kind
of turmoil suggested in Daniel & Revelation occurs it may be time to reconnect.
Survival would be the ONLY reason for going back.
LOL. This reminds me of the saying: Those who don't learn from their mistakes are destined to repeat them.
And if you want a scripture to back that up...how about the one where a dog returns to eat its vomit.
If my survival depended on it...I certainly would not want to have to survive under the conditions wbts puts upon its people. Jesus said "my yoke is light." That should tell you lots right there.
"Give me liberty or give me death"......anyone in agreement?
very interesting.. maybe some of the current/former elders can shed some light on this.. .
back in the spring of 2004, e-watchman launched a massive mailing campaign of an open letter to jehovahs witnesses and the watchtower society; laying bare the facts regarding the watchtowers ten-year partnership with the united nations as an affiliated ngo.
with the help of a private printing and distribution company the letter was mailed to virtually every kingdom hall in the united states and canada, as well as some congregations in australia and great britain, amounting to over 7,000 letters.
You would think that if the wbts REALLY had a mission to warn the world they would make themselves more accessible to people...whether it be by mail, visibility of locations, using media to further the message.... This has all been discussed many times before.
Will they announce soon that the world wide preaching work has now come to a close, andthus begin to shut the r&f away from the world, isolating them more than ever? The fact of having no mailboxes and no way to reach them is yet another ISOLATION maneuver.
To me, it seems leaning in that direction. They have already told them that the "door of the ark is closing"....does that mean there is no more room for anyone else? All the chosen have been gathered in? No mailboxes will shut out any undue influence. Also gives a sense of "secretiveness" to the R&F, thus promoting their hysteria tactics.
Are most of the R & F aware that there is no mailbox? How would they reach the KH by letter? Are they made aware that the PO box is "private info"?
The question now is, if they do intend to promote this change that work is done and no need for outside contact......what will the r&f do with their time??
Over the years the e-watchman mailbag has received emails asking why most kingdom halls do not have windows . I have always assumed that it was in order to prevent vandalism. But, windowless kingdom halls seem to aptly typify the prevailing mentality of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in that, more and more the organization appears to be intent on shuttering itself from the outside world.
Masonic halls do not have windows either. Next time you pass one, you will see that all the windows have been boarded and/or painted over.
I think there is a correlation here.

You can't develop a survival organization over night.
So, when have they used survival trining skills to put a plan of operation into effect? Have they ever given anyone the security of knowing a concrete plan for disaster has been worked out? Why don't they have a dry run to be prepared?
You need an organization that is international in scope
because upheaval often means re-location.
Have there been any plans made should any disaster happen that requires re-location? After Katrina, did the wbts help their own? I can tell you first hand that anyone sending checks to wbts for katrina relief had those checks returned to them and told do not put on the check what it is for...wbts decides how best to use the money . Basically, you cannot tell them to earmark it for a certain cause. But back to topic....how did wbts show that they are a "survival organization" during Katrina? What methods of implementing relocation/aid were used to help Katrina victims?
It easily takes 120 years to produce a survival group of 6 million.

False dates were essential to accomplishing this.
So lying is permissable as a means to accomplish an end. Fooling people and lying to them is for their own good. Credibility has no moral value.
Central to this has been the theme that "the end is coming" . No one is going to make the sacrifices necessary if they don't think their immediate survival is at stake.
They teach that serving Jah cannot be whole hearted if your reasons for doing so are only for selfish survival.
any ideas or sugestions .
all comments welcomed pro or con.
I wonder.....if all JWs got the idea to do this....would we have a run in the grocery stores?
How many JWs on a food rampage would it take to clear the store shelves in this country? (That almost sounds like it could be a new pollack joke.)

your disaster could be a financial setback.
Raw honey can cause allergic reactions in those with allergies. You just can't put a big dose of pollen laden honey into your tea, cereal or what have you. I remember having a reaction from some sort of herbal tea. It was supposed to clear my nose up but it didn't. Things kept getting worse, and that's when I stopped drinking the tea.
Mrs. McDuckett,
You have already made up your mind that you enjoy suffering with your allergies. You are not open or receptive to new information. There are people in this world who enjoy complaining. I think you are one of those people. Some people are just negative no matter what.

Make sure the honey is from wherever he's having problems with allergies.
what sense does that make john doe? Honey has nothing to do with 'curing' specific allergies. The properties of honey help to build the immune system.
Your sentence syntax is atrocious. Hard for me to believe you could be in "law school".
Your reading comprehension is rather shallow as I have already pointed out that geographic location of allergies have nothing to do with quality or benefit of honey.

Well, it's not exactly live bugs..... but it comes from live "bugs"
what I would recommend for your allergies is RAW honey. Not store bought. (store bought honey has been treated and pasteruized and all the beneficial enzymes are destroyed.)
Dark honey is best. Dark honey has a higher mineral concentration.
Some people say to buy honey from your local area, but that is not always the best. In areas of hard winter, unless the beekeepers move their bees out to southern locations, some will feed their bees sugar water to get them through the winter. Your honey is only as potent as what it comes from. If it is not 100% pure flower nectar, you will not get the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.
Mrs. McDuckett, many people are exposed to the same pollens, mold, and dust that you are. The reason it does not effect them so badly is because their immune systems are probably stronger. Honey can help to build your immune system.
Not only is it good for allergies, it's handy for wounds and burns and speeds healing time. Bacteria cannot live in honey. Honey destroys the bacteria in a cut, burn or wound.
Just try raw honey and see if it works for you. I know many people who swear by it.
