  hi anyone been "ripped-off" by witnesses?.

  here is my experience:.

  was married with my wife 4 mths pregnant, when my father-inlaw ( who was dying of asbestosis ) offered for us to join with them in building a new house.

  But your trouble may also come from your wife if she seeks a divorce, as she will get most of your share anyway.

  If you think there is no way for reconcilation and you see (this above) as the future....

  I can only say that the stress of fighting it will probably cost you your health as well.

  Sometimes it's better just to take your lumps and walk away a free man.

  You can always build another empire.

  Besides, the market is about to collapse anyway. Latest word out of UK is that powers that be are going to let the market crash in USA. A crash now would mean they can start a recovery plan. To keep cutting fed int. rate would drag out the inevitable for only another year or two.

  Life and sanity (and health) are where my priorities would be.

  Big Announcement on next Service meeting

  there seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.

  tired of the hypocrisy's post got me thinking ... how many jw "kids" over the age when they should have left home still live with their parents.

  i say this because i have many of those in my congregation.

  fyi it looks real bad to be a older man (ie 25 and up) scrub laying up at home unless you have a outstanding circumstance i.e.

  Another observation about this adult/child:

  When other people are around, he will sit off to the side by himself. I think maybe he is listening or watching, but he does not participate nor interact withanyone. He rarely speaks or makes eye contact.

  He will act nonchalant, usually with his head down, or picking at his shoe laces with a stick, or something moron-ish.

  He never initiates conversation.

  If you try to include him, he will leave the area. It's like he wants to just be the fly on the wall.

  What does this mean?

  The way I see it, anyone can baptize, even a pagan or an atheist. So long as it is done the right way, it is valid.

  well, you have certainly opened a can of worms now.

  Please tell us.....WHAT IS THE RIGHT WAY?

  Did Jesus baptize others? Dunk or sprinkle? Words used?

  i am inspired to start this thread because of something i read on another thread.. burn the ships says it doesn't matter if you are baptised by an athiest or an elder, as long as it's done the right way.. so, since every religion has their spin on "the right way".... what concrete example did jesus give in this ritual?.

  can any of you find any actual description of jesus dunking someone in water to baptise them?.

  all i find is that jesus "baptized" by giving words of instruction.. .

  Program jws have to locate each other in emergency

  did anyone hear about the special program the jws had or have for locating each one of the faithful ones when the great tribulation occurs or something like that.

  my jw mom who passed away in 2006 was going on and on about this but i didn't want to ask to much.

  i would get an earful of preaching then.

  This will not be neded soon.

  When the gov. decides to mark people with RFID chips, no one will get lost.

  When the powers market it, people will really go for the idea. Actually, many already have and have been chipping their pets for several years now.

  Missing people can be tracked; the dead can be identified.

  Great sales plan. Plus...you won't be able to buy or sell without it.

  The Moody Blues - Your Favorite Songs and Albums from them ?

  a band i really liked a lot growing up and as an adult was he moody blues.

  their mixing of orchestration from an instrument called the " mellotron " and mixing the orchestration with electric guitars was fantastic.

  they wrote very meaningful lyrics analyzing the situations in life as well as the world scene at the time.

  believe it or not - i was just introduced to frank zappa music by my wife - and another poster here jk 666, this last few months !

  when i was a witness years ago my self righteous ex-wife ( a witness ) always tried to control my rock n' roll spirit within me - to no avail .

  it finally burst forth all over the place as years went by .

  Heard of Zappa. Never listened to him that I really know of. If it was on radio, maybe I did and did not know.

  All I know is that I will be disappointed if JK666 doesn't really look like him.
