we know that watchtower teachs that "first resurrection" already toke place for the 1st class christian group, the 144.000.. so , each of the 144.000 still alive on the earth is immediately resurrected after he dies.

but .. their body still on the earth .. so , why ?.

i mean why body of christ disappear after his resurrection and bodies of 144.000 not ?

Sell By Dates - Do You Take Much Notice of Them?

sell by and use by dates on food produce seem to have become the norm these days.

on one side we have the squeaky clean supermarkets with their dating system, while on the other side is a combination of media scare stories about listeria, salmonella etc.

and voracious food standards authorities.

exiting the watchtower

hi im new to this forum and am currently trying to exite the watchtower.for the past 12 months or more i have stopped going on the ministry.in august last year i stopped going to the meetings but depression kicked in and other symptoms and i returned to the meetings in april.i stopped going to the meetings again in july and did more research to see if this is a cult.but im having all sorts of symptoms.confusion of whats right and wrong, panic attacks when i go out, one minute i hate the watchtower the next i wonder whether this is the truth and wonder if ive been mislead by satan.i dont know who to trust and where to go from here.and none of my family was ever in the watchtower so i think they know somethings going on but they can,t understand what im going through.ive been in the watchtower since 1999 off and on, i finally got baptized in 2005 after what i thought was carefull examination of the truth.and whats worse is the elder i studied with when i came into the " truth" lives right next door to me with his wife, which plays all sorts of guilt trips on me and paranoia.

My recommendation, to try to combat the mental fatigue caused by all this confusion is to do a little research on "brain foods" and supplements that support brain development and help with mental exhaustion.

Also, if you just step away from all the issues totally for awhile and engross yourself in hobby or your work or social life while building your energy with the correct diet, vitamins, and supplements, then, later you will be able to think more rationally. Time away from the issues will give you some distance and the fog will begin to lift.

By all means, take a vacation away from the neighbors and familiar surroundings if possible.

"Generation" - Just Making It Up?

i think you have to wonder if the watchtower society has degenerated to the point where they don't.

even bother to research the bilge they print and they just make up whatever gets them by.. what did jesus mean by "this generation"?

i am new to this site but have been lurking for a while now.

i have not told my story yet because i am in the middle of a situation i had hoped to avoid.

my wife is still a jw in good standing, my two sons were dfd a year ago.

what about the scripture that when a man and woman are joined in matrimony there is a warning...'Let no man put asunder!'

Asunder means to break apart or come between.

This is exactly what people in the org are doing.

They themselves are violating God's law by interferring in people's marriages to the point of causing them to turn on one another and "tattle" on each other.

Where is her loyalty? To you or to a group of old fa--? she needs to decide. If she thinks the elders will comfort her when shes down, support her with her life goals, and be there when she needs an extra hand...then tell her maybe they will make a better husband to her.

I would be firm.

This organization has usurped your authority as head of your household.

And they have put asunder your marriage .

How do we know this to be true? Is there any scriptural reference to this aspect of "resurrection"? Or is it a "fractured fairy tale"?

Here is what we have been told concerning resurrection of Jesus:

immediately after he arose from the grave, this is his appearance:

John 20:15-16

"They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him." 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

15 "Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?"
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."

(My commentary: and now...what's this? Jesus in overalls? certainly his appearance is very much altered or disguised.)

16 Jesus said to her, "Mary."
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher).

(my commentary: Does she recognize him from his voice? Or a mannerism? Or something x-file-ish he does?)

Commentary: So upon taking a new form, obviously rather human looking as to be mistaken for a gardener...Jesus was unrecognizable to someone who knew him so well. What do you all make of this?

Here is another alternate appearance after his resurrection:

Mark 16:12

9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping. 11 When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it.

12 Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country . 13 These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.

The BaghavaGita, in support of reincarnation, says that "the spirit changes bodies in the way that the body changes clothes."

So, again, what do you all make of the unrecognizable appearances?

Then, again, there is yet another alternate appearance of Jesus before his death. This is referred to as the "transfiguration"

matthew 17:2 describes the transfiguration:

2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.

(so now, this is like something from x-files)

So, from these episodes of example...how do you think you will recognize each other in a life after death?

Are your ideas based on fantasy or scripture? Please give evidence.
