  what have you done [or anticipate doing] that is special, original or just plain exciting to you?

  the grandmunchkins are all excited about christmas morning, and there are stacks of presents under the tree.

  the tree has become more colorful this year, as we add to it every year now.

  Hate to be Debbie Downer here....but mine goes like this

  Elderly JW friend gets official DF letter this week. <edited to add: df'd in absentia>

  Ends up in ER same day.

  Phone call next day tests show another heart attack but cannot pin point exactly when.

  JC and PO were all officially notified months ago to leave him alone as he was very sick.

  He was released from hospital into my care a few months ago and he was half dead.

  They waited until he was the worst he had been in his life and then attacked him.

  They accused him of loose conduct because he is "alone in house with a female." (I took him to my home)

  They held the dead as hostage. Told him he would never see his dead mother again if he did not comply with them. They made him cry.

  I guess they expected him to go home and be alone without help or care. I had already asked family members to help out and they had no time and were also afraid they would get sick from being around him.

  We have been business associates and friends for 10 years. I became his medical POA and caregiver because his family (all JWs) have more important things to do with saving the world. They all go to meetings three nights a week and door knocking two days a week.

  Years ago, I alerted his family he needed medical attention. One family member said they could take him to medical appts on Tuesday between 1 and 4. Couldn't let the poor guy wait 6 months until dr. had opening at that time frame.

  He believes the paradise story, but I think he has learned that worldly people are not so bad. He has a lot of compassion for people in general no matter what their religion is. I have never heard him pass judgement on others and always talks about Jah knowing the heart and its not our place.

  Many times when he tries to read the daily text out loud to me, I will get the Bible and make him read something actually from the Bible and he has come to find NEW LIGHT on his own! (Imagine!)

  Anyway, that's my xmas story.

  Mark 3:29 - But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.(NIV) (Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is also referenced in Matthew 12:31-32 and Luke 12:10).

  According to Merriam - Webster dictionary the word "blasphemy" means "the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God;the act of claiming the attributes of deity; irreverence toward something considered sacred."

  To me, blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is when a$$% form a judicial committee and presume to know what God thinks of someone else. It is double blasphemy to execute judgement on a person and claim you are doing it by Jehovah's authority.

  it was pretty messed up.

  i appealed and two of the three elders on my appeal commity were from our sister congregation.

  when i turned in my appeal letter, the elder i turned it in to tried to talk me out of appealing.

  BTW, isn't it blasphemous to suppose that any human could read the mind of God in order to know what God thinks about someone else?

  Can you give us the statute numbers to look up the exact wording?

  So is this in effect for any other states yet? Is it in the works being pushed into federal? Does this apply ONLY to Calif?

  You are blaming Jehovah for something He did not do.

  God did not forbid questioning of his chanel because there is NO SUCH THING as his chanel. You were duped.

  Now, I don't know if its because some people have a genetic defect or just not-so-good brains, but anyone who lets someone else dictate to them....well if you had read the Bible for yourself instead of being lazy and expecting to be spoonfed...maybe you would have realized all this wasn't true and maybe you would not have been brainwashed.

  You are still in the dark.

  You were following man made rules and made up stories and now, you still can't seem to clear it from your head that God did not dictate any of that BS.

  And as for Jehovah killing the unrighteous...well, I know some people who really deserve for the rocks to fall on them. I bet you know some folks that deserve it, too, if you think about it.

  How do you think an "annointed" knows that he is annointed?

  I have a get out of jail free card from AAA.

  Never had to use it yet.

  Btw...any way you can check the services...like e-opinion or consumer reports? Are they mostly for auto/injury cases? Stuff like dui? Do they mostly act as a referral service to listen and get you to the right KIND of atty for your problem?

  How many minutes a month are you allowed for questions? Do you get same atty each time?
