Getting the forum back on track

recently we seem to have had a few different dramas and subsequent fallout on the fourm which i feel has detracted from its purpose.

with this in mind we have decided that we need to bring the forum back on track and as such we will be clamping down on a lot of the aggressive / insulting posts which have begun to become the norm for a few people.

we will also be clamping down on the paranoid assusation type of comments against newbies, if someone joins the fourm and you do not believe everything they post - so what, why do we need to hound them away with shouts of troll and fake etc, just ignore them if you dont beleive them.

i am an ex jw, i am 30, and grew up in the 'truth'.

i am a 5th generation witness, my dad was an elder, my mum a regular pioneer.

And how did you feel when you realised that you werent in God's one true organisation ?

The Truth will set you free.

You no longer have to call yourself a "slave". Jesus teaches freedom; WTS teaches slavery. That's one GIANT contradiction right there.

Hopefully, you will feel that a great burden has been lifted from your shoulders and that you are now allowed to think for yourself.

Big Announcement on next Service meeting

there seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.

Number one the WTS memorial date if off it is not in accord with the jewish calendar this year, probably an explaination.

Maybe the REAL Memorial service is in accord with Jewish calendar and will be held secretly for the REAL baptized members and elite ~~appointed~~ annointed.

The publicized Memorial date is to throw off the apostates and general public. Do you all think they are nervous about apostate campaigns and break outs?

Seems to me the way things are going and from what I hear through the grapevine aound here the "secrecy thing" is really coming into play this year. Starting with the bang of "baptized only" priveliges now.

I look for them to whisper among themselves that "the preaching work is coming to a close"..... after all....presses are down, less print outs, bethel downsized twice now in short order....and the economy is beginning to crunch. Economically speaking they will need r and f to pay the KH bills instead of spending for gas and mags.

have been involved with the watchtower since 1968, hence my moniker....tired of the hypocrisy.. i am hear to listen, learn, share and help others.

i have not done much of anything in about 15 yrs.

maybe since my wife's folks are still active in it and i would not want them to get on her about it.

raymond franz was a member of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses from 1971 until may 22, 1980, and served at the organization's world headquarters for fifteen years, from 1965 until 1980. franz wrote and edited two detailed books which relate his personal experiences with the watch tower bible and tract society and fellow members of the jehovah's witness organization.. .

after reading ray franz's books,i held him and his fellow members responsible for all the false teachings.

i also wasn't forgiving any of them even if they found out that it wasn't the ''truth'' and left the organization.now i changed my mind.

But what will it take for the majority of apostates to do this when they still allow themselves to live in fear of the BOE?

Isn't that what it comes down to?

Isn't TRUTH the "precious pearl"?

How can people take a stand against it, as you say? Would it be an individual stand or would there be more power and effect to have an organized walk out or campaign?

What would be the most effective way to take a stand against it?

My JW friend tells me about the time they had those old hand crank recorders and would stand on the sidewalk all day making people listen to the victrola sounds of "religion is a snare and a racket."

Do any historians know....were they doing much door to door in the 1920"s or was it mostly street corner "boom boxes"?

Female Adults Praying In The Company of Male Children

just a simple question.. within the jws, if a woman needs to pray for the group because no baptized man is present, she has to cover her head as a mark of respect/submission (take your pick).

it applies even if the male is a young child.

my question is, does the rule still apply if there's a male baby present?

Is it permissible to skip the prayer, or should she pull the back of her dress up over her head?

For those of you who stay in the org in spite of knowing its a lie..... is there anything (little hints) you do to let others know that you are not wholehearted in it?
