Our PO just confess to one of us: He doesn't believe anymore

maybe we are the crazy ones!

but, after a chat with the po of our congo, we felt a little better with the knowledge that we are not alone on the inside.

About 10 years ago the PO of a congregation in UK left his wife, resigned from his congregation, resigned as Assembly Hall overseer and admitted he had not believed it was the ' truth ' for some years. The new woman ( not a JW ) was probably the catalyst for his action.

There must be many who just stay around rather than rock the boat and pay lip service to the org. The investment of the years requires a new investment of greater perceived value, to allow for such a life altering change ? The principle way you fall out of love with a person is when you fall inlove with someone else.

The above story is true as the guy involved was my wifes, sisters husband, I know the overwhelming sorrow and shock it caused at the time.None of his family remained in the org.

Conspiracy against the Watchtower

here is one question that has been bothering me for quite some time.

do you think a revolution, so to speak, within the organization is possible?

in other words, can any conspiracy against the watchtower succeed?

A combined approach is best, agitators within, both subtle and direct attacks from outside. Hitler lost his war by this effective combination. But it has to be co-ordinated. Although there are now many actively pursuing one of these avenues, which has mushroomed even in the past 10 years it is still a voice crying in the wilderness. Only when it becomes a tumult will it have the desired effect. However the rot has started.

Hundreds of vehicles at the DCs engines running as we wait to join the queues home or to the local hotels. Are we looking at a responsible commitment to cut emissions or are we no diferent to the local baseball/football crowds. Massive savings could be available and fewer crocodile infested rivers to cross ?

Spycatchers

my daughter and son in law have just been dfd for questioning re issues we all know about, molestation, 607/587, ngo, etc.

i am not going to add to the damage by shunning so my own days may be numbered ?

maybe though i will be left alone as i dont think rocking the boat is what my own elders are about and our family connections are numerous.

However is there any records of elders spying to see if they can catch you out visiting family members ?

Friends have suggested cycling to their home rather than leaving the car parked outside. They are only a couple of miles away. Seems so sad to have to operate covertly. Any experiences ? Any of you guys Dfd but still have good family contact

i would like to extend a big thankyou to those posting on the forum who are in fact helping to educate us all with explanations of the scriptures that we may not have previously considered.

channel c is also good for this.. a christians life should be one of continual searching, testing, confirming as this leads to a deeper and firmer faith which can challenge firmly entrenched viewpoints.when i first started to study in 1966 i almost emptied my local library and spent ages in the british museum confirming my new found beliefs, this approach may well be frowned on now.

has anyone done independant research on revelation and thrown in a few maverick comments at the group study, i found out some interesting info regarding the congregations and cities jesus addressed and included them in my answers.

My group OS just gave me an odd look but thanked me for my research, after the group others asked where I got my info from. I replied encyclopedias and historical sources on the net.

This attitude made me aware that generally the RF are not looking outside of the Org or confirming why they believe what they do for fear of not being obedient.This is so terribly sad as I love so many of these people so very much.

Lets hope all the undercurrent of growing dissension may change the attitudes at the top ???????????????????????????????

i am very concerned as to what the long term effect of df or ds can be on young children who may be deprived of the love and care of close family members, such as grandparents who may still be loyal jws but whose own married children are dfd.

the modern epidemic of youth rebellion is often traced back to dysfunctionality within the emotional fabric of societies.

the organisation may very well be contributing to this breakdown.. how many members of the gb are married with children and grandchildren who can fully empathise with what their policy is doing, has anybody written an article on this subject..
