purps' wonderful thread about love made me wonder about something else.
what have you achieved/become since leaving the organisation that proves there is a happy, successful life outside being a jehovah's witness?
for me, although it's only been a very short time, too short to achieve much, i count becoming: non-judgemental of my fellow man; a mum that can give her kids all the room to grow and blossom without fear of 'sinning' or being kicked out for bad behaviour; a person that can feel comfortable worshipping in a church or not, depending on whatever i feel like doing; someone who can love and give freely and celebrate life in all it's glory (i just love birthdays!
Looks like i saved my marraige, and my wife and I will try and respect each others differences. I can now start coming off some of my meds! As I doubt i need most of them now.

well i guess this was a long time in coming, but yesterday afternoon, my family all got together and had a bbq at my parents' home.
when my parents left at around 6:00pm to drive my one non-dub sister home, my other sister and brother in law (former elder), stayed for a while longer.. we've never discussed my leaving 'the truth' a couple of years ago but she brought it up last night and we started talking about the religion.
everyone had been drinking but no one was drunk, so alot got said.
Mary, I hate to tell you that a couple of month ago WT opened the heavens to all and did away with the 1935 limit for heaven. It was a questions from reader, march or may I believe. They got rid of the generation thing, and were running out of real anointed for the GB. You or your sister could be called up at any moment. She may not even know the change.

we know that we can't always take the direct approach and we know that even a short, reasonable discussion is often out of the question with jw's we may love dearly so we often try to place a little doubt in their minds.
we want them to start questioning cherished beliefs.. is this fair of us?

this km was discussed however,i wanted to make a comment.the wtbs does not want the r&f to question their reseach and accept want they(gb) say.let's look at one of their publication they mentioned in the sept07km.the revelation (1982) book.the nov06km had over 70 correction.than they printed a soft cover edition with a whole lot more corrections.so we have to accept their bs when a child knows a lot more about the bible than the gb/fds/wt.and they don't want us to question their publications when there are sooooooooooooooo many mistakes.look at other books,the wishy-washy king of the north etc etc .they must be really brain dead.my guess is most die heart jw who read one of the wtbs books and immediately forget what they read.. bob.
My comment may be that the Soviet Union and many other communist contries tried to control all literature read by the masses, even the local papers where state run. The Soviet Union sure came crashing down quickly.

i'm new to this forum as a user, 'been hanging around for a while and enjoyed reading the posts here, this site has provided a lot of confidence and encouragement to me through harsh times.
so nice to know that other people out there struggle with the same issues as me.
You do not need advice as desperately as you think. You have already learned math. Whether you are truly in love or not, and you well may be, who is going to live longer, your parents or your lover? You say you have great friends? You will know when you put it to the test and I hope they love you NO MATTER WHAT! I am twice your age and still in, but only recently learned how decieved I have been my whole life. You are damn lucky to find out so early. Your awakening could free so many you are close to.

i have been roasting my own coffee for over three years.
it is very simple and you probably allready have the utensils needed in your kitchen.
you can save at least 50% or more and get much better quality coffee.
The popcorn machine that works well is a hot air machine that uses no oil. it swirls the corn/coffee as it roasts it.

i have just been outed on this site due to my own stupidity, and lost my anonymity after just a short pleasant while here.
i have been turned in folks, compete with screen name/avatar, by family and i have a ton in.
it is easy to tell it is me, although i never use anyones names.
I want to be free, but how free if totally isolated? How high should the cost be? Is there a way out of full confrontation, and how hard will elders want to did into this site? I attended some, but am in no way active, and everyone knows I have really been in bad emotional shape for awhile. This site was going to help me tough it out.
