Welcome Akria! You can feel free to express doubts here, and perhaps get answers. I am like you in many ways. I was raised to believe JW have the Truth, but also began to have many doubts. I have no idea what God would want with human worship or what it really is. You are very lucky that your husband feels like you do. You may be able to just get by with each other and not scare off too many around you but it is hard.

so one year of lots of questions and showing doubts, and missing quite a few meetings but still going out in service, doing mics, reading, hall projects...then i get the new light from society regarding the letter i sent them (wow, stunned me, blew me away) and i let them know how i felt about it and i quit the ministry after 40 active years.

nobody says anything about this, no counsel, no will you go out with us on saturday.

not a single "were is your time for the month" phone call.

I had wondered about that. I know I have really forced at least one elder to think. I asked him if he thinks of me every time he reads the name Jehovah in the CGS in NWT, and to my suprise he admitted---"yes." (eight elders and two former so far I have spoken with about this and not a single one ever knew or noticed true use of name Jehovah in CGS in NWT).

first Bible/book! study

having posted here in the past, and having gained much useful and appreciated advise, my ex and i are still in contact, and stuck in as many of you warned, a deadlock.

he hoping i will come round to the witness way of "thinking" and i hoping that he will wake up and smell the roses!..

i am reluctant to give up on the relationship, and feel that as he approaches the two year mark since being baptised as a witness, he is beginning to show cracks and is weakening in his stance.

At this early stage, as quick as you can, get him to realize JW have "their own" Bible. If he has an old Bible, have him compare the new testament of his with the JW Bible. Nowhere in recorded history does the name Jehovah appear in early Bible manuscripts of the NT, but the name has been "put in" 237" times. You just CANT change the Bible because you so love a name you want to see it a part of Christianity when it is NOT there. JW's will say it has been "restored where quoting" from the old testament". UNTRUE in many instances, and that is no excuse for changing the bible (Rev 22:18,19). By the way, Rev is the best place to show him this abomination of change. the name is in Rev. about a dozen times and not a SINGLE one is a quote from the OT. Would anyone but a cult would write "their own" Bible version and make changes to it to suit their fancy?

homerr hey oompa are you baptized ? yes I am, 1976. then pioneerd, then servant, then married, a little later good 15 year marraige with two great boys. then my wife had a WILD mental problem that totally wigged her out, she left the country, me with the 7 and 9 year old and just dissapeard for awhile. She was a nutcase and a mess. She did not come back to the old person for several years. Life was tough, and while out she got pregnant. As bad as I wanted to save the family unit, I could not deal with that. Now I am married to a great JW lady for ten years, and without the truth in my heart now, we have so little in common it is scary. Sex is great, but the stress of all the dissimilarities between us is really dragging down our sex life. I so want to just go away for awhile. IT is never going to be a good live is she clings so tight to every work like now.

Start with the basics that are so simple yet mean so much about truth. Where do we find it? Mainly in the New world translation, what do you know about, how was it put togegther, and does it make MAJOR changes in its texts that no other bilbles in the world do. While we have done an excellent job of restoring the name Jehovah in the Hebrew scriptures thousand of times, the tetragrammation never appears even one time in the most ancient Christian Greek Scriptures. so it is just not there. Check the Insight book under Jehovah and it wll verify this. Also Apendix 1-d says that scribes must have removed the name jehovah, however there is no support for this position. Despite the lack of evidence, we have incerted the name jehovah where the words "

'kyi;oss and Theos appear. We say we do it when quoting fform the hbrew scriputres by that is a lie since we also put the name jehovah where there are no quotes from the hebrew. So yeah, we actually do have our "OWN" bible, unlike any others in the world!

it starts rotting right here in the bible, and goes down hill corruping exponetionally as it is used.

i actually saved a classified ad from an east coast paper that needed experienced crew on a 48' sailing yacht.

i was at this town for my 10th wedding anniversary and staying at a nice b&b.

Hortensia that is nice. What do you do in the evening alone in the quiet? Read/write/paint or perhaps something else? It sounds nice. I to get tired of the tv being on, and come here or read.
