  What Bored You The Most As A JW?

  i got very bored while i was a witness.. the meetings were so boring!!!.

  jws are supposed to be "busy" in the lord's work.

  if you're busy, you shouldn't be bored, right?

  early on it had to be conventions and assemblies!!!........i cant believe this was not at the top of the list and nobody has said this?........geeze why do you think so many are walking the halls, hanging outside, and reading the paper in their car?? (or was that just me??).......then later they all became tedious.....i have never sat on a toilet so much in my life!!

  then later i just hit the library, wrote a script/book, played with kids etc........ANYTHING to be distracted..........oompa

  oh ya.......and i would lay down in the coatroom which nobody ever used and it had a door and no speaker in it!......i had some back issued and used it as an excuse for a nap....

  funny how this thread went apostafest......so i will climb on board....in do way do i feel apostafest attendance has ANYTHING with being REAL...but even here, some can come across as genuine, but may have a double life or dark side that i was not expecting

  believe it or not after 45 yr a dub....i woke up an about a week later found and instantly joined jwd.....as chance would have it there was an apostafest scheduled only about 30 miles from my home......and damm if i did not show up.......it was at a pizza place and i found it more interesting than fun as it was not a party atmosphere, but i liked getting to know those in such a small club.......i know one of the attenders still posts, but dang i cant remember her handle right now.......she still carries the guilt of a dead son who did not get a blood transfusion and it think that was her call

  however....i have met over 20 jwd folk and had a blast at nearly every occasion....i have been to only two really advertised apostafests, but keep falling into social events with several of us there and THAT is fun.......in other words, once you get to know some here through pms and phone......they ARE friends........and then you have a grill out, or beerfest, or beach trip.......and ya.....those little private apostafests are the way to go. heck the other week i was hangin with a couple of my local jwd friends...and other jwd friends from ny were visiting, and we hooked up with another jwd friend who is gay (and really cute!) and we hit the town and wound up parting down at a huge gay club!!.....OMG i had no idea how many babes party at these places!!!.........ya......i love to boogie......

  I am surprised at how many jwd are in my area, and also that two were old friends of mine.......and i have also done apostagolf with some in the area.........the bond that we all share is unbelievable........it is indeed a very special and small club................oomps

  wife and i had a bit of a spat about this a few weeks ago.....i blew her mind that i felt like things were so great around us........i guess i only recently understood how dubs think things are so so horrible in daworll around us........i never did...never......i loved school!!

  !......damm those were good friends that i lost after graduation......dammit........i am finding a few back on facebook and such.... she and prob most dubs think all else in daworll is soooooo evil.......but damm........here in the states i can walk most of it without a care in the world......my neighbors are good people...they care for their fam and friends just like dubs do .......and do not commit crime.

  i told wifey that if daworll were sooo evil there would be full prisons about every two miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  yes, i am enjoying realizing the truth about the truth.. but there is another side to it.

  the world as we know it didn't seem to me to be the way that god intended it to be.

  i know i was brainwashed, but it felt good believing that all the bad things would be changed.

  Bow Echo

  we just had a storm pass through here.

  it's called bow echo winds(very fast moving storm winds), it is about the entire length of the state of arkansas, now headed for tn.....you all watch out!!!!.

  broke alot of tree limbs here, one almost going through our front living room window.

  it's also called souse.. there was a show on radio this morning about farm life, and a caller told how it's done.. my mother used to make a big container for xmas.. i'm really waxing nostalgic here.. sylvia.
