  How many of you knew about the"Jesus is not your Mediator" teaching when you were JWs??

  hi everyone.... just curious how many of you knew when you were active, about the societys official teaching regarding jesus the mediator.

  i was floored to find in my research, that they teach jesus is the mediator for the 144,000 only.

  and it is only by our association with them that we might have salvation.. i don't know about you guys but i was blown away when i learned they taught this.

  life without drama is boring?..nothing much to post about now...however...

  since so many of you guys hated my drama as you called it....(i just call it my life at that time)...which was wild roller coaster ride for nearly three years.......(and damm do i love wild coasters)......but not in real life situations out of amusement parks me thinks....... so the drinking may still be a prob even though i quit for a month save one birthday party...my first ever!....yet i was moderate.....new lite even told me so........ i started back a bit last week.....way too soon and not sure why.....but loss of biz is a huge stress.......first time in my life i feel a struggle and cash flow worries....so i am damm lucky i guess!

  !........first time ever.....really........i mowed yards and cleaned gutters starting at 10, and had a huge morning paper route from age 13-15 at 5:00 that got me my first motorcycle....and had a great paying job in high school........weird having your first money worries at mid-life....oompa.

  it was a mini apostafest btw......but there was punch and i added some vodka......there was a ton of booze btw....but i did ok.....weird but i had none of the typical side effects of quitting.....no withdrawal......and i have drank a good bit of hard every night for at least three years.....kind of my self medicating sleeping pill.....

  HOWEVER.....i did only sleep an hour a night for the first two nights, and that was not until 6 am....but still i felt great the next day as at least i rested well watching tv......i know i should prob just give it up for good, but maybe it is just an emotional attachment since i had no physical withdrawals??.......i gotta figure it out for me i guess..............i am soooo damm lucky to have so many others from here nearby!!!.......thanks guys........oompa

  The problem with design arguments for a creator is that the morality of the creator is called into question by his supposed design

  i remember reading an awake magazine article from 1946 that tried to explain dinosaurs and other carnivorous animals that left me more than a little flat.. certainly the existence of design would argue for a designer, but not necessarily the morality of said designer.

  now i know some would argue that my conception of morality is flawed and that of the designer so much superior, yet i have yet to hear or read of any narrative which i could back with my heart or head.. .

  lady...i hate to admit it as a fouth gen with a zillion elders leading my way......but damm.....never even thought about it.......i never had a frikkin mediator in real life either so never really thought about it.......nor does it bother me now.......i never felt my prayers were gonna be answered anyway, and none were!!......

  now changing the frikkin bible without tellin me!!!...........that i can understand!!!.........to each his own girl.........oompa

  and HIGH PRIEST??......i am seeing blood letting of sheep and bulls being smoked on the grill......

  the whole thing is just freakydeaky weird.....imho

  recently talked with a brother who had the following experience.. he and wife had been on a trip out of town, and they started rehashing old wrongs, he had mentioned that she wasn't very nice to him lately in fact the last several years.

  she wanted to know why he had felt that way.

  when he told me that right then and there i mentioned that they or at least he shouldn't have brought up old or current wrongs.

  and russell.......the first mistake was "rehashing old wrongs" me thinks.....if you did not fix theshit from several years ago the first time.......well damm.....bringing it up again is like repeating failure.......

  my dad is wt conductor for thirty years......i called him about paragraph 4 last week......he also hates they say we are deep in the last days when there is not a single scripture that says how long the last days may last!!!........ask your pa for a scripture as to "where we are in the stream of time"........any hint of it is out the window without a real generation of life from good ol 1914......i used to buy into that.......but it is gone since 1995........so HOW THE HELL CAN THEY STILL BE SAYING IT IS SOOOOO CLOSE WITHOUT ANY..ANY...ANY....ANY SCRIPTUAL SUPPORT!??!?!...IT COULD MATCH THEIR OLD SIX THOUSAND YEARS OF FRIKKIN CREATION FOR ALL THEY KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...HEAD EXPLODED.....OOMPA

  but i love my dad.....he never hangs up on me....and always says he understands how shit like that bothers me..........and ya....even says he loves me.......

  my gf said a witness just came to her door gave a pamphlet about how close we are to the end, never said a word, just handed it to her and walked away.. i told her that since she accepted it, she is his new "return visit".. i tellya, these "ministers" really know how to save lives!.

  Lost My Job Yesterday

  i lost my job yesterday.

  i have only worked at this job for 8 months and my position was eliminated.

  so sorry oregon.......i am nearly in same boat.....i lost my last good customer after over 24 years and am floundering for the first time since high school.....wait a sec, i even had a good part time job then!......try and find something you like to do that can make some coin.....being self employeed doing what you like would be nice.........oomps
