  Which one to read daily or at all....Watchtower or Bible???

  inpired by another thread.....funny, but most dubs would quickly say "the bible"......and maybe even mention the brooklyn sign that says "read gods word the bible daily"......yet why?.

  dubs teach that there is no way to understand the bible, unless wt through is faithful and discreet slave "class" (and that is one class i would like to see graduate already)........ they would point to: (acts 8:29-31) .

  hmmm...i thought this would have had more interest.....but you never know.......esp if you get the subject/title line boring or stupid.....

  i guess the bible seems even less important if you need a WT guidebook/mag to splain it to you.....so in printed material dubland......if you were in a bubble or prison or such.......you would be better off with WT than bible...........oompa

  How many of you knew about the"Jesus is not your Mediator" teaching when you were JWs??

  hi everyone.... just curious how many of you knew when you were active, about the societys official teaching regarding jesus the mediator.

  i was floored to find in my research, that they teach jesus is the mediator for the 144,000 only.

  and it is only by our association with them that we might have salvation.. i don't know about you guys but i was blown away when i learned they taught this.

  Thanks cat.....really feelin the christian love!....sure glad you like me!.....the point of my post is there is no way in the world to know what was originaly written by god if he ever did..... and i will not stop raggin on a book with so many sick rules and regs in it such as raped little girls having to marry their rapists!!!....if it helps you stay sane, fine.......likewise, it nearly drove me insane..........oompa

  and i bet you love Pauls comments that women are to be TOTALLY SILENT when at worship services!!!........curious, just how did you come to choose this book the Holy Bible as the fix for you?.......i don't suppose you early growing environment had anything to do with it?.....i bet you would be choosing a different book to keep you sane if you had been born in Iran, or India maybe???........just a thought......

  so why the fluck would WT keep that sign up there when everone is just wasting their reading time with the Bible alone???.....and why do they urge daily bible reading rather than WT material only? Of course the bible says:

  funny it does not say it needs WT for its power or shapness, and damm it is like a Crystal Ball discerning your thoughts and all........damm spooky scripture if you ask me......i mean who here wants their "soul and spirt pierced and divided"?!?!?!?........that scripture is used all the time as a great one by dubs, but at face value it should have kept me from reading the bible.................oompa

  are there scriptures that indicate the bible (gods word) can help it's readers without WT??......

  taking good advice and sharing about myself(a little)

  im 20 from a family of both sides 3rd gen jdubs and ive been generally inactive minus assemblies memorials and the occasional meeting for 3 years.i dont what all im supposed to include in here....i left becuase:(not in order of importance).

  1)i felt and feel personally failed by the organization by allowing my siblings and cousins as well as many friends and there mothers over the years be sexually abused and mistreated.. 2)to much conjecture and flip flopping the "nobodys perfect" exscuse wasnt cutting it anymore.

  3)i want to help people in a real and unconditional way not just for the purpose of converting them.

  life without drama is boring?..nothing much to post about now...however...

  since so many of you guys hated my drama as you called it....(i just call it my life at that time)...which was wild roller coaster ride for nearly three years.......(and damm do i love wild coasters)......but not in real life situations out of amusement parks me thinks....... so the drinking may still be a prob even though i quit for a month save one birthday party...my first ever!....yet i was moderate.....new lite even told me so........ i started back a bit last week.....way too soon and not sure why.....but loss of biz is a huge stress.......first time in my life i feel a struggle and cash flow worries....so i am damm lucky i guess!

  !........first time ever.....really........i mowed yards and cleaned gutters starting at 10, and had a huge morning paper route from age 13-15 at 5:00 that got me my first motorcycle....and had a great paying job in high school........weird having your first money worries at mid-life....oompa.

  purps....ya.......all that is true.....but the lack of busines making life simple is scary as hell........and finding a workable relationship with jw wife is working better too.....but i am floundering a bit on the biz thingy.....tought times......but not just for me i know......damm i just heard that 1.9 million homes were foreclose on this year so far!!.......where are all these people living???.........oompa

  cat.......screw the bible......check and you will see there is NO WAY to verify it has not been altered bigtime.......but what does it matter?.......the originals are prob BS!!!.......no frikkin way a almighty god would educate mankind with shitty paper...........oompa

  that out of the billions of people here on earth god "speaks" to people who are not only in the same country, not only in the same state, not only in the same city, not only in the same building, but all hold high positions within said building?

  i mean i'm sure he's not speaking to the mailroom guy or the literature assembly line guy.

  he speaks to the ones who hold office within this company.. this is what i said to my aunt, and her reply?
