  What would you say are THE core teachings of the JWs...

  hey everyone,.

  getting some feedback, what would you say are the core teachings or were the core teachings of the jehovah's witnesses.

  the teachings that make them unique, the teachings that if they weren't there the jehovah's witnesses wouldn't exist.. i would say the teaching of 1914 and god choosing jws as the right religion would probably be the core teaching.

  well my elder jw dad says there are a few biggies that have NOT changed.

  jws only true christian faith, and FDS gods channel and chosen ones

  no immortal soul

  no trinity

  paradise earth was an add on as was the 144k being heavenly and rest earthly

  and right olin.....the end is always near, even though now for the first time ever they use not a single scripture or even an interpretation to give a date or century, or generation of life that will not die off before the end comes.......anyone can argue that the last days could be 1000 years long or 6000 years long and not be proven wrong

  I ran into an ex-JW on vacation. We're everywhere.

  i love the scuba diving there.

  i have connected with my best friend from highschool!

  thank you facebook!.....i so regret breaking off all my "worldly" friendships once i graduated.......they are all still friends as i could see all my buddies friends on his facebook page....it was weird as i knew just about all of them....i guess they stayed lifelong friends like i thought i had with my dub group............. .anyhoo he gets me a bit since he had a jw aunt and he knew my family were dubs..........funny we talked about my exit a bit and he tells me he knows a guy who left recently and it cause a lot of family problems!

  !.....sure hope to meet that guy too..........anyhoo, im not just making new friends, i am finding old ones now..........oompa.

  aunt bee.........a lot of us jw kids were wild as hell in school........it was the only time we could be REAL.......many of lead a double life, but still dont want to disappoint our folks.........

  i remember saying to myself...."if i can just get through school without getting caught or dfd, that i will settle down and be a good dub"........i was so "bad" that i did hurt my parents some........so of course i pioneered for a year as pennance!!!!

  i LOVED school and my old friends........but one you are not with them every day, it was easy to just drift away from them...of course most of them all went to college and stayed in thouch like NORMAL PEOPLE!.........oomps

  1918 Watchtower Request

  i hate when the society does this.. apparently the watchtower society printed different issues of the same journal.. case in point.

  the march 1st 1918 watch tower was color cover with "how to study the bible" and a verse-by-verse commentary on revelation.. the march 1st, 1918 issue is a typical b&w journal with just regular articles.

  anyone have the color editionb in pdf?.

  i had high hopes........esp for healthcare which was and is my number one deal........i employ 17 great people i really care for....and i cant afford healthcare for them like i used to........i paid 100 percent for 20 years.......now i am down to 60 percent and both their part and mine is so high it is killin me and them.........

  but this guys just killed me this week when he slammed the US Postal service, and praised Fedex and UPS!!!!...........holy shit how stupid is that?.......i wish some town hall person would ask him how is the gov gonna fix the health stuff when nearly every major gov service is a failure?.......social security, medicare, medicaid, postal..........geeze why did he say that??........he needs a telepromp alright.........oompa

  Ordained Ministers of J.W. part 1

  baptisms are usually performed at assemblies.at the conclusion of the baptism talk,the baptism candidates are asked two q.affirmative answers qualifies the candidates as ordained ministers of j.w..we all have seen some candidates as young as 13 years,some as young as 12 years and even some as young as 9 years old.now in the eyes of the wbts these are qualified ordained ministers.. to my way of thinking these ordained ministers should be qualified to give sound advise or council.example,a 17 year old teenage boy has a problem with masturbation and is seeking advise.do you think he would receive sound advise on his masturbation problem from a 9 year old ordained minister of j.w.

  (girl).in other religions this ordained minister would be qualified but i don't think a j.w.

  Renni: yes young baptisms do happen but they are exceptions rather than the norm.

  sorry girl, but that is a bold faced LIE! you should know better than to state something that is so easy for ANYONE to have witnessed this summer at conventions............minors are almost ALWAYS to biggest group to be baptized.......and it makes me sick that JW teens are too immature to date.......those bloomin youths........yet are mature enought to commit to serving god and wt forever?.........oompa

  and yes bo i agree it it lunacy to call such uneducated people and kids ordained ministers.......
