  Memorial

  for those unaware the memorial has no scriptural basis.

  of the 12 men at the last passover not one of them ever said or wrote jesus said "do this in remembrance of me" matthew said jesus blessed the bread and wine and gave the bread and wine to his apostles.

  we have paul saying jesus said those words and the writting of luke which everyone needs to read and find out what's missing in his account.

  he only wants me once... is this normal?

  i recently started dating this guy, tonight he wants to come over and spend the night with me.

  but he absourlutly refuses to make any other plans to see me beyond that!.

  is this normal?

  highdose....first how did you KNOW it would only be one time?.....i would think that if you have dated a bit and there was sexual attraction...then it could have just been the beginning of things (not the end!).....why so pessimistic?....nothing can scare some guys or gals faster than starting to talk long term....living in the moment may be just what you need right now and most dubs have NEVER done that!.....i am trying it....but it takes a new mindset...............good luck!..........oompa

  How many have left your congregation ?

  hi everyone ,.

  there are many new folk joining here everyday , and i thought it may be interesting and fun to just see how many people have left the congregation that you have attended in the past 5 years .

  i dont mean of course people who are active jw's moving to another cong , but people that have left the wt religion , faded , da'd or df'd .. so , i will start off with my own cong .there have been 9 leave , 8 completely gone , myself hardly ever there and ' inactive ' .. leo999.

  i cant keep up...but i went to a post wedding reception/party recently...the couple was about 30 and both dfd....she used to work for me and my son is 24 and has many friends in common with them and i have a few as well..........great party btw....but there were 38 exdubs out of about 100 guests....it was nice to be part of such a small club there.....oompa

  John Babcock dies...last WWI Canadian vet at 110 years young....

  Everything feels broken

  hi all - beware, long post comming up!.

  i've always been a person who 'needed to know'.

  as a born in i felt incredibly lucky that my parents and grandparents had found 'the truth' - no need to struggle to 'break free from babylon's bondage' for me!

  hmmm........."incredibly lost and alone"..............sorry friend...been there done that too.................i did not cope well as a fourth generation born in brainwashed from birth with two kids...............depression kicked in big time and going through the motions became more like moving in wet concrete.....then i started drinking a lot more...almost like the elders...lol............then i went to psychiatrists for meds...and therapists.....they said i needed exit counseling and that if they were trapped in a cult like this and faced losing everyone in your life...well hell they would be drinking too!!!!

  so then i tried good old suicide attempt with meds and booze....probably a feeble one as i own plenty of guns that are more like 100%....so anyway it took about 4 years before i left my jw wife and told my parents i wish they would not shun me....they will........but i have a bit of peace now and enjoy the freedom of thought without fear of elders or others.....even told my co old superbuddy that there was no fukkin way i would ever go to another meeting again and that was two days before they reproved me for "causing division"....even though i still have not found anyone i divided....lol....damm i could not drag even ONE with me!!!!!

  be careful friend....it can be a dark, lonely, and scary ride...........oompa

  oh and i met with the CO and then wrote the society about my issue....their reply confirmed my worst fear....we wrote our OWN bible....changed it in MAJOR ways...and made it say what we wanted in order to teach our own unique doctrines..........

  i have been a bit down lately...and stressed...but having a nice little beach sabatical now.....facing divorce really makes you think...i dont think i am fully convinced that it is a must....lots to consider.............oomps
