  is getting a blood transfusion in itself a DF offense?

  i know if you join the military it is considered that you have dissassociated yourself...but if you are in an accident and are given blood when you are unconcious...is that in itself reason for df?

  or what if you willingly accepted a blood transfusion?

  what if you do not show remorse or repentance or even refuse to meet with the elders?

  I still dont know why they read the letter stating i am no longe a jw so i dont know if they consider it a df or a da. i have decided to meet with these guys just to find out why and to be a pain in their ass...i may tell them that if they do not recend the announcement that i am going to sue each brother on my committee personally for defamation of character...i might could drag it out and make them bleed money...i just wish they had left me the fluck alone!!!...............oompa

  JW superstitions about the memorial -

  now that we are all thinking about jw memorial - i was just remembering all the silly superstitions the jws have put around this - their only holiday.

  as far as i can tell, none of these are actually biblical:.

  1) - it must be held only once per year.. 2) - it must be held on "nisan 14".. 3) - it must be held after sundown.. 4) - the bread must be unleavened.. 5) - the wine must be plain (not fortified) red wine.

  sorry if this is a repeat..i may have missed it...big superstition that on this one night nobody is able to park their car without guys directing them with flashlights and safety vests???....WTF???....our hall had 250 spaces for only 75 cars...yet we needed guidance on how to park?????.....oompa

  Heads up, the Local Needs part this week is a special talk on blood transfusions.

  a brother called me to ask who was delivering the talk at our hall.

  i didn't know what he was talking about.

  he then explained to me that this week, for the local needs, congregations across the us will have a brother deliver a special outline on blood transfusions.. .

  you may know i was recently dfd...i am a 4th gen...my two sons of course were 5th gen. the oldest a rebel from birth so of course dfd at 17 and he is now 24. my younger son now 22 has been the golden boy for the dubs.

  pioneered out of hs for 4 years...was a miniserve all that time...and then the holy grail...a year at bethel...i mean the perfect dub!.

  well shocker of shocks...he was dfd three weeks ago!!!

  i tried for years to wake my son and my wife up...it was a disaster...they refuse to reason at all and labeled me an apostate just like all the others...it pushed my wife deeper into the org. and my son got tired of hearing the real truths i shared...he still does not want to hear ANYTHING contrary to jw teachings and neither does my wife....i mean ZERO talk about the org. so i continue to show love to him...check on him...he is now out on his own and totally isolated for the most part...i am worried about him...........oompa

  well shocker of shocks...he was dfd three weeks ago!!! first time offender...zero priors...he was doing normal young adult (fun) activities (sins) and it bothered his conscience so he goes to the bros. and confesses and is very sorry. i thought that was the standard to stay in right? esp. not being caught or turned in like king david...no my son was really sorry and it did not matter at all...just dfd...kicked to the curb.

  apparently those are three strikes against you when you confess your sins 1. pioneer, 2. miniserve, 3. bethel lite..........so any one of these "reaching out" activities mean you are held to some higher standard not found in the bible. lol kind of funny...rather that earn you points so to speak...these activities can be your death sentence if you do wrong (have fun)

  sadly my youngest really wants back in...but for the time being me and both sons are all dfd!!!!.......................oompa

  reading a thread from just a few months ago, made me realise that a lot of people who used to be regular contributors here no longer do so.. i know that people have always moved on, as the anger and hurt get less, as the wt mind-set totally disappears, we feel the need to come here less and less, but because of the intelligence, insight, wit and wisdom of these people, the board is somewhat impoverished each time one of these moves on.. this is a plea to all who post now, and some who still read but don't post, please do not leave us entirely, the contributions on here are literally life-saving for many.

  it is easy to get dangerously suicidal when the whole wt pack of cards falls down for you.. please do not become a stranger to us !.

  i've seen a few threads/posts where some of y'all have heard from jw contacts and how they've stepped up their 'the end is close' rhetoric because of the earthquake/tsunami in japan.

  i usually take those things with a grain of salt.

  there's always some jw whose cheese has slipped that reads prophecy into every little thing that happens.

  So why are there earthquakes?

  they cant be an accident, because everything god does is intended.. so, if god created everything perfect, there shouldn't be any disasters: earthquakes, tsunamis etc.

  so either he didn't create them perfectly, because he couldnt therefore, he lacks some qualities: all-powerful, all-wise or because he didnt want to, therefore being malevolent (he knew that there will be life on earth, and those disasters could harm this life).

  either way it doesnt look good for him.

  i could have written you post trevor...i was thinking the exact same thing and have for a long time....i mean life is tough enough just day to day...why throw in earthquakes and hurricanes....people say it is not god but just mother nature....like he did not create nature? and jws say god allows it to happen but does not do it right? but think about the many times he controlled mother nature in the bible...

  he parted the sea for moses

  then he let moses hit a rock and he make water flow from it

  he made the sun stand still for a war! lmoa...i can make this up

  he turned a river into blood...yummmmm

  and did all kinds of mother nature crap with those plagues

  oh and he made a zillion quail flop down on the isrealites in the dessert....plus the manna...

  plus the clouds to hide by day....and maybe a tower of fire at night?

  so why cant he just say no more quakes?..............oompa....and what a bad globe design btw

  DITTO dinah...and i am healing quite well...still feel so weak...two months flat on your back will eat your muscles away...having a hard time getting it back...but i get around well enough...i sure aint as purty!!!...........if i could not laugh...trust me i would i would cry........oompa
