  so i'm 21, just married, and raised in my fathers image and thank god he liked sci-fi...a genre i was able to escape to new worlds in.

  he even took me to a trekkie covention when i was albout 12 at the greensboro coliseum and it was packed.

  oz i got in another jw argument with my ex last week...i did not start it...but it started with our dfd sons....she wanted details about an amazing holiday trip they took together...including pics on their FB page!!!! I said no. told her she wasn't a mother to them anymore if she chose not to be a part of their life and that their FB pics are private...shown only to those who are their FRIENDS on FB...lets say her and her uber self-righteous sister got quite upset with this factual remark...i think i told them to look up definitions and meanings of the word MOTHER...painful.....oompa

  a bit ago i posted a close family member was finally seeing the wts for what it isn't.

  i spoke too soon and many warned me.

  it turns out circular thinking has sunk it's teeth in deep and will not release.. it's very sad because i know what the end result is going to be.

  i can relate...i was TOTALLY outed when a close exjw friend of my dfd son and i...(a young gay woman in his band and living with a long term partner!) printed out one of my very best posts here ever and gave to the elders when she then rejoined and is now back in 100%...pinch me...i still cant believe she did that...I mean i was already a well known critic/apostate here in NC...they just did not have the goods on me lol!!!!.....oompa

  btw it was the...."40 things that go beyond what is written in the bible"...and ya i wrote it kinda funny and sarcastic...imagine that....which the elders for some reason were able to keep a very straight face when some of them were read aloud......but i couldn't!!!!!

  after 130 years of false prophecying,like 20 false armageddon dates,russels witchtower pyramid measurements @1914,,hehehe lol,and every other flip flop teaching,like all of them,like the expanded 1914 generation?come on people,get real with this sxxt ok?then their is the 8th king membership for about 10 years?how can the dubs stay in there and swallow all of this nonsense is beyond me ok?i can't go on about these fools any more,it is just too sad people,to see good hearted witchtowerite like christians being mislead down a road to no where okay?soon the truth about the truth will be seen by all,,,hehehe lol,,,!the only difference between these cultist and the jxxxs compound,is the missing vat of purple koolaid?most of them know that something is very wrong,but they have a social club to maintain,and besides,they all have way too much pride to admit that their teachings are all wrong,and they have infested their whole lives into that church,some over 60 years okay,so to leave now would mean that their whole life as a witness was all for nothing,and that is a reality that they refuse to think about or accept!glad i'm out of there now for over 25 years!.

He even took me to a TREKKIE covention when I was albout 12 at the Greensboro Coliseum and it was packed. We had watched every episode over and over...I thought. There was no VCR then. So what was my reaction when just as we were leaving for another meeting from hell...it happened...A Star Trek episode came on that I had NEVER SEEN BEFORE!!!!!!! Manna from HEAVEN!!! What would you (or jesus) do? I didn't CARE what jesus woudl do Scarlet.

  Well wife was APPALLED at the thought of me missing a meeting for this lil STAR TRECK THINGY! This was our very first fight btw and she got UGLY about it...cause yep I stayed and watched it while she stormed off all self-righteous and went to the meeting (the meeting---another cult buzzword---the meeting...sounds like a satanic movie title). Believe it or not this was such a huge sin to her that she threw this event in my face for the rest of her life...mentions even to this day if she gets the chance.

  Yesterday my oldest son said "Dad I think mom is insane...and she has been insane for a very long time"...he was serious.............oompa

  How I was not convicted for killing a California Condor once...How could this story be funny with an awful subject like that??

  once i had been arrested for shooting the condor, the animal rights/environmental activists went justifiably nuts and were picketing the trial like crazy.

  but when my turn came to testify i told the judge that i was guilty but very very sorry...and that i hoped they would understand and be lenient.

  i explained how i was camping and hunting in the wilderness and fell and broke my leg and was stranded for days...once i ran out of food i became very weak and scared but fell asleep...when i woke i saw a large bird on a rock ledge right above me and quickly raised my gun and shot the bird for food...i did not even know it was califonia condor at the time...but i ate the large bird for three days until i was found and rescued.

  So I told him it was kind of cross between a Bald Eagle and a Spotted Owl.

  because i remember how freaked out some would get if something bad happend and "oh my, that is such a bad witness!

  i hope that does not make the papers"...oh i heard that one a lot...same if a "bad witness" was seen on tv or your name is in the paper for a dwi, urinating in public, indecent exposure, (not my bio) but we/they always hated the masses seeing anything negative right?!?!?!?.

  and funny how important that all the world know the truth right???

  Broken Promise I hope my humor never changes...so thank you and don't worry...I won't! That's it...that's all...no old Bible study babe is my GF sadly...but i found the thought funny that I guided her in....and out. What is your idea of humor because I like most types. Maybe you would like my KubotaKam video on youtube but i seriously doubt it...because people just have very different taste in humor. You have inspired me to start some threads of things and stories and comedy material that i think is really funny!!! I have really enjoyed doing standup comedy some. and have written comedy material for David Letterman and SNL...so yeah...i REALLY enjoy humor and making others laugh.

  And personally I think my original post here is one of the best posts I have ever expressed myself on...because I have been seeing things more clearly lately when I had kind of lost hope and now both my sons are out!!!!!!!! And it gives me hope that yes they are on a sinking ship and god has not revealed to his Faithful Slave (god what a cult buzzword phrase!) how to patch the holes. I like hopes and dreams now...as a kid others dreams were forced on me and I was told any dreams I happened to mention were worldly and would not lead me to destruction if I followed them.

  I loved that black and white pic of a young woman...former jw...picketing outside a jw theatre entrance for a circuit assembly with her sign..."YOUR CHILDREN JUST WANT TO BE PLAYING"....which reminded me of how desperate i was for it to rain or snow on saturday morning so i could just watch cartoons...guess i really liked humor then too!!! or how i would pretend to be sick in 7th grade just so i could watch HAPPY DAYS once in a frikkin while because EVERYONE was talking about it EVERY friday...and my meetings were on Thursday night of course...that may sound like nothing to some but it starts shaping you as an adult...to get what you want you have to lie to your parents to see a tv show???????? yep......oompa

  my mother has been involved sort of with the jw's, since she was younger.

  so she's always kind of believed in their stuff.

  did not finish your last post yet...but first ask her to explain what light getting brighter is she talking about??? she will say gods light of truth or such i guess...so ask ANY of them to please show a scripture that says gods light of truth would get brighter? esp as shed on his word the bible right? well there arent any..."new light and brighter light" are simply old guys trying to cover their asses everytime they get something wrong and have to reinvent themselves.....god it is soooooo frustrating i know...oh and welcome...get me your email

  there is not a single instance in the bible where god would have his people teach a falsehood for a long time...and then say "NAYYYYY i was only jerkin yer chain dare....heres da real truff"...i mean why would god teach lies on purpose....then replace with more lies...repeat and rinse.....oompa

  and if light gets brighter on a dim subject...GUESS WHAT?!?!?! the object gets more clearly seen as the light gets brighter...a body...four legs...more light....two ears two eyes.....morel ight...blue eyes tan fur....more light......whiskers and nose and tiny claws and looks like it would go meow...but with NEW light it is actually now a......catamarn full of topless sailor babes!...hey its my analogy....but see thats just nuts and there is no where in the bible there is this NEW LIGHT idea...........you are making me have flashback screams!............oompa
