Good advice guys, which is why I have not said anything for so long. I would never think of sharing this info with the "new" third child. I am friends with his adult kids too, and when I am around them, and the stepmom, it is like the only thing I can think of.

Minimus, I only hope everyone decides not to post here that was depresed when this was discovered. It has been two years for me, and unfortunately I only found this place a few months ago. I tried booze, therepy, and meds-and still use the meds. My whole little world is busted wide open, and unfortunatly virtually ALL of my family/friends are now like aliens to me,or I to them. It is like the Twilight Zone.
If not for the isolation thing, and feeling defrauded my whole life, I could probably be happy about the new freedom from fear.

He tell me this and then, the bomb, that he has three kids not two! One of the married sisters in the hall got pregnant by him, it was handled VERY privately (he stepped down for awhile, and came right back), the couple stayed together and raised his kid! He said he is pretty sure this child was never told, and he died before I ever found out if his current wife (second marriage) even knows. We are close too, and it has been a year and I am dying to ask her. They were not married at the time of this event, so could I bring it up?

i was caught saying a few "truths" about the organization to my tennis buddy whose family are witnesses.
he rather innocently related some things i expressed.
the next thing i knew i was being asked by the po if i had any issues with the faithful slave.
Especially about doctrinal matters---all the time for years. I am used to the finger pointing and whispering behind my back. But I always love when I make a comment that is true, but shakes everybody up, how some do-gooder always trys to make comment to explain away my comment, and usually gets something wrong, which of course I have to correct with the dreded follow up comment.

Family is harder to give up than friends, because they are what you have known your entire life. You can and will make new friends though, plus you have your own wife and new family to enjoy. At your age, you will NOT believe how different your life will be in 15 years, but I will tell you this, there is a VERY good chance that many of your family and former friends we not be going to the Kindom Hall in the next few years, and if you are willing, they may be grilling out in your back yard with you.
An Elder in my hall I never even cared for took his best friends wife. They got married. They did everything right. She was out 6 years, he was out 9! I did not even like the guy and felt sorry for him.

when you think of a parent who has a misbehaved child.
it is normal as they grow to feel they "know better than their parent.
does a good parent continue to let the child make bad choices and say " since you think you know it all lets just let you continue and see who's right?".
What really get me is the slow/lack of discipline for this Satan guy. Adam and Eve were zapped into inperfection and the cruddy part of earth. Where is Satan? Attending a meeting with his buddy angels in the hood. So after losing the bet on Job, what happens to him? Still hangin wid da homies for a couple of thousand years!?!?! Can't find my wife's KM! I think she hid it. But doesn't the US KM only give placement numbers for the US? Is the 51 million worldwide or US only?
