JWs Not Allowed to Post on Websites?

this seems to be a favorite topic to bring up to any witnesses who post on any website where there are any opposers, either here or topix or anywhere.. so, here is the one and only place i will be discussing it.

who can prove that witnesses are specifically told not to post on websites about them?.

hahahahah....i knew standfirm would say "you first"!!!! then i looked up the definition of stupid...but could not get it to paste here....but it does fit standfirm and i do not mean that as a slur...stupid is a biblical term after all

i am not going FIRST because I KNOW WT can come after your ass and cause even more grief if they have your name when you post here...and yes that even applies to dfd ones like me with family still in....why the hell do you think almost everyone here does not use their real name and pic???....you think that is because we have nothing to fear from WT???....hell no....we know the reprecussions when you break THEIR RULES just like you are doing in secret while you hide behind a fake name and avatar

YOU are the one that says it is ok to be here as a jw....and if YOU really believe that then YOU should go ahead and post your name and or pic....see THAT is putting your money where your mouth is...i dont have to because i am not making the insane claims you are....maybe if you get your mouth away from your anus you can taste the real truth about the truth...sorry if that sounds crass but i feel you deserve it

June 15th WT, Trap Your Kids in the Cult

the worst article is the first one, a non-study article.

shows pictures of a kid, looks like he is 10 years old.

about five or six years ago i was at a WT study...of course i had not studied and about jumped out of my seat and screamed when they read a paragraph that stated roughly...."in bibical times...(or first century christian congo)....only adult males and females were baptized"...i think they may have been quoting a secular source on this piece of information....i nearly jumped out of my seat and screamed....i was like holy fluck then why are we letting kids get baptized!!!????

does anyone recall this?.....................thanks.........................oompa

all i discovered back then was i did not feeling like a freak!....i really started liking girls then, so found a way to make valentines and love notes like everyone else even though my parents were very clear to teacher i was to be sitting in the flukkin library for every holiday, birthday, you name it!!!

i wanted cupcakes dammit!!!

and you think i was going to sit there during the pledge of allegience?

early worst moment in life...5th grade....walking down the sidewalk hand in hand after school with my cute blond gf...of course mom drives by and pulls over and makes me get in and gives me hell for such "brazen conduct"...lol....trust me i did not laugh then....shit like that scars you at just about any age....but i still managed to have girlfriends all through high school

school was the best time of my life...i could be me at school...be almost normal....i was in band in 5th grade and thank god i got to go to summer band camp for a few years...omg the fun i had there!!!.....by the time i was in high school i had it down pat...i played guitar and would leave home with my guitar case and say i was going to play with a friend....of course my DISCO clothes were in the case and i would go out and boogie....often after seeing the late show of Rocky Horror Picture Show (like 30 times...it was a serious fun party!)

hell even when i was engaged to a hot jw babe (a bad girl...already reproved and dfd once...so i knew she was fun and the one for me!)....we spent more time in the back seat of my vw bus than we did driving it!!!! it felt so good to be so bad

yet all the while i had to put on my good son jw face too...i so wish i had been more true to myself as a teen and rebeled like hell...it is hard not to look back and wish i had developed lifelong friends with REAL NORMAL and LESS JUDGEMENTAL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!

I have got to get over the bitterness, resentment....and even hatred for this religion and some of the people (elders) in it....most of my friends there were a blast...party animals, yet they have shunned me for years even before i was dfd...i am still getting used to seeing the shock and fear on old friends faces who actually turn away if i say hi or wave at them...not all are like that but probably 95%...............four of my new BEST FRIENDS were found right here on jwd and they are a lifeline............................oompa

"origins" of teachings/holidays matter, but not to anything JW

jw's are always saying the origins of things are pagan...referring to all holidays and false doctrines that all other religions are chock full of.

so why does it not matter that the "modern day" orginazations origins were full of what we now know were false teachings?

and they followed one man...russel, then rutherford for many years...which is their own unique definition of part of what a "cult" is.. instead of placing any emphasis on how pagan or wrong the origins of early teachings of wt are...they simply say there has been new light.

the july 15 wt mentioned how god is still resting...confident that his plan is being worked out.

for some reason i had never thought about why the hell god would even need or want a "rest day"....i mean for crying out loud according wt god only created one thing....da baby jesus.

how boring to let him create everything else.

anyone know how they explain away john 5:17? is it because when jesus said it his rest day had not began yet? geeze i am getting rusty....i cant remember when he was supposed to start resting............oompa

now that i think about it i think it is in Gen. 1 or 2 that he started resting after jesus apparently made every physical thing in the universe...but that makes no sense...he would have started resting after he created the baby jesus if that was his only creation

Jehovah's Witnesses & Higher Education

i believe that jws demonize higher education so much, that it makes them look like weirdos!.

you and your family are penalized if someone goes to college!.

when i tell any "worldly" (aka "normal" person) that witnesess view higher education with disdain and ridicule, i always get the same response:.
